Rajasthan BJP MLA's husband slaps police officer for traffic violation fine

Kota (Rajasthan), Feb 21 (Agencies) : In what is likely to cause a big embarrassment to the ruling BJP in Rajasthan, the husband of one of its MLAs was caught on camera thrashing a police officer for imposing a penalty for traffic violations.

According to reports, Naresh Meghwal, the husband of BJP lawmaker Chandra Kanta Meghwal barged into a police station with his supporters and entered into an ugly brawl with police officers for allegedly imposing hefty fine on a BJP worker.

Naresh Meghwa and his supporters were recorded on camera shouting and thrashing four policemen, who were later transferred after the incident.

The footage shows Meghwal slapping a police officer, which prompted other policemen to use batons on his supporters. As the situation slipped out of control, Meghwal's supporters retaliated by throwing stones at the policemen.

The cops, in questioned, complained that that they were manhandled and thrashed by BJP MLA's husband and his supporters.

A case has been registered against Meghwal and over half a dozen BJP workers.

Defending her husband, the BJP MLA said Naresh and his supporters were attacked and detained by the police. She even alleged that in the fight, her sari was torn and her bangles broken.

Commenting on the incident, Kota Superintendent of Police Sawai Singh Godara said a high-level probe has been ordered and action will be taken.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has also been informed about the incident.

MLA SHOULD BE FORCED TO RESIGN IMMEDIATELY OR BE EXPELLED FROM BJP. IF IN BJP GOVERNMENT SHE DID NOT BELIEVE IN ADMINISTRATION OR JUDICIARY , WHO IS TO BLAME. IF SOME THING WRONG WAS DONE BY POLICE THEY HAVE ENOUGH REMEDY IN LAW.
IT WAS SHAME FUL TO GO TO POLICE STATION TO RESEIST BOOKING OF A CRIMINAL.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday lambasted the Samajwadi Party (SP) government for its "failure "to maintain law and order in Uttar Pradesh, saying "goonda raj" was prevailing there and even the supreme court has had to intervene to get a minister booked in an alleged rape case.

Two days later his own party ruled state of Rajasthan BJP MLA's husband slaps police officer discharging duty.

Why Modi can't end 'Goonda raj' in BJP ruled states?

If we recall what Javedkar has said to Pappu "as per the standard". Very correctly he predicted the STANDARD of his party's politician. No surprise, following the party lines of BESHARAM JANARA PARTY, this Goon acted upon. Terrorist know only the destruction, Brashta Janara Party people know only to "HATRED"

he should be punished according to law. no matter which party he belongs to, and no need "high-level probe has been ordered" as everything captured on camera. even the MLA should be punished as she was present there and she is supporting him
she is misunderstand the meaning of "LAWMAKER" to "LAW BREAKER"

    Dear Manjunatha,

I strongly condemn the act by MLA's husband and he should be punished along with his wife as she was present there and she is supporting.
There is no need of any probe as by camera it will be clear that both are guilty.
We can call this MLA "LAW BREAKER" than "LAW MAKER"
Guilty should be punished despite any party they form
