Indeed a very sad and heart-rending accident, involving heavy loss of innocent lives and grievous injuries to such a large number of people. May the souls of all the departed persons rest in peace and may their families find the strength & courage to bear their irreparable loss. May the (large number) of injured persons recover speedily and may they be restored to normalcy fast. Unfortunately, in most of the cases, it is the poor & marginalised sections of society, who are the worst sufferers.

In most of the serious accidents taking place in India, it is not only the bad condition of the roads, but also, rash & negligent driving (with overspeeding), which is the major cause of road accidents. Hope the various enforcement agencies like the Road Transport Dept., Police Dept., the Highways Depts., etc. take their responsibilities seriously and come down heavily on the various irregularities and act fast and very strictly, to stem this unfortunate trend and make our roads safer for all.
