Bengaluru, Feb 17: After former minister, Kumar Bangarappa, dropped hints by conducting a meeting of his supporters at his home constituency, Sorab, on Wednesday where he got their nod to cross over to BJP, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) has set the ball rolling to appease him and convince him against going ahead with his plan.

Speaking at Vijayapura, KPCC working president, Dinesh Gundu Rao, said that there in no reason for Bangarappa and V R Sudarshan to leave the party. "We will soon talk to them and take further decision," he stated.

At the same time, speaking at Kalaburagi, KPCC president, Dr G Parameshwar, expressed ignorance about the reasons which have made Kumar Bangarappa unhappy.  "His father, as chief minister of the state, had provided us guidance in the past. We also have given all encouragement to him in the party in order to go to the stature of his father. He had also been made a minister in the past. If he reveals the cause for his dissatisfaction, we can hold discussions and find a solution," he added.

At the same time, former deputy chief minister and veteran BJP leader, K S Eshwarappa, said that so far, no discussions about Kumar Bangarappa joining the BJP have been held. However, he said that Kumar will be welcomed into the party if he decides to join BJP.
