Moodbidri: Bus hits bike - youth breathes his last

Moodbidri, Feb 15: In an accident which occurred in front of Ballal Hotel in the town on Tuesday February 14 afternoon, a motor bike rider lost his life. This accident happened after a bus plying between the town and Mangaluru hit the motor bike.

Sandeep Shetty (21), son of the owner of Hotel Foodland on Iruvail road here named Mahabala, was the victim of this accident.

It is learnt that Sandeep had completed his ITI training course through A J Soans institute here. He was doing wiring work here. At night, he was to attend electrical work at Ballal Hotel. On Tuesday afternoon, he had dropped off his friend near a garage at Gandhinagar. On his return, a private bus knocked him down with force.

The locals immediately took him to hospital. Shetty died later in the hospital, without responding to efforts made to save him.

Sandeep was the grandson of well-known Yakshagana artiste, Ladi Krishna Shetty. It is said that he was to soon begin working for a company at Bengaluru.

    May his soul rest in peace. Its heartbreaking to hear so many youngsters loosing their lives regularly.No control on rash driving by private bus drivers.
