Stop peeping, focus on governance: Shiv Sena tells Modi

Mumbai, Feb 13 (PTI): In a vitriolic attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his jibe at Manmohan Singh, bickering ally Shiv Sena today asked him to stop peeping in others' bathrooms, maintain the dignity of his office and concentrate on governance instead of threatening opposition parties by flagging their horoscopes.

"Modi, while campaigning in UP, threatened that he has the horoscope of opposition parties while Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav retorted by saying horoscopes of all are freely available on internet. This is an example of how low the level of campaign has plummeted," the Sena said in an editorial in party mouthpiece 'Saamana'.

"At least the PM and the CM should not be a part of such mudslinging. The Chair has immense integrity and the person occupying it should make sure its dignity is upheld," it said.

"What has to happen in UP polls will happen. But the PM should concentrate on Delhi and the CMs on their states. One should not peep into others' bathrooms. This should be avoided," it said, alluding to Modi's 'raincoat' remark targeting former PM Manmohan Singh and the subsequent retort to it by Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi.

The Sena said the use of government machinery by those holding constitutional posts to threaten opposition parties amounts to "political corruption." "But all these are taking place openly. The PM and the CM, while campaigning, threaten, challenge, make announcements and promises. Under which rule of law could they do this," it questioned.

"You have the Opposition's horoscopes because you are in power. By removing their 'kundalis' (horoscopes), you are in a way abusing your power. You are not elected to power to do this. Your horoscope too will be available to your successors once you step down from power," the editorial said.

On Modi's jibe at Akhilesh Yadav, the Sena said if law and order problems persist in UP and women are unsafe, what are the BJP MPs elected from the state doing about the issue.

If we keep on repeatedly saying "Maan Ki Baat" as a tongue twister, it ends up as "Monkey Baat".

The Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee letter dated June 1, 2002, reveals concern for the fragile communal situation in the state and reflects his doubts over whether the interests of the riot-hit were being properly looked after. The letter was sent three months after the Godhra incident and the post-Godhra riots. It came two months after Vajpayee's advice to Modi that as CM, he must adhere to "Raj dharma" and not discriminate on the basis of caste, creed or religion.

Now it its his junior ally Shiv sena reminding the Vajpayee's golden words to PM Modi who promised 'minimum government, maximum governance' to the nation.

Those who encourage selfie with daughters, peeping someone's privacy will give wrong message to the women of this nation. PM of the nation should maintain utmost dignity and careful using his language.

It is shame for India that democracy is dragged from parliament to street standard.

Worst impacted parties due to demonetization drive are
    1. Mamata Banerjee party
    2. Pappu party
    3. Kejri party
    4. Takre party

It was almost like losing their deposit during general election. 😋

Definitely the position of Hindustan's PM never come so low...., that too even by its own allies ....., some times I really feel pity on our honorable PM as he may be under some self imposed obligation to keep his bhakt's entertained & united to cheer for him & his party.....?

Modi's front bench jokes delivered in a constipational style are irritating everyone these days. Still talking about scams after 2.5 years in power, but he has failed in unearthing anything in spite of having the CBI and all investigating agencies at his command. Competition between Modi and Sasikala these days on shedding crocodile tears.

Hahahaha......I cannot control my laugh. Modi is losing his dignity and credibility by his loose talks. He thought governance means just attacking and criticizing the opposition parties. Despite attack from the Shiv sena on Modi everyday, BJP have no guts to break the alliance with that party at the Centre and state of Maharashtra. Even BJP have no control over its own party leaders and good example is Yeddi & Eeshu in Karnataka.

    Boda sheera?

Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Rajastan (BJP ruled states) are much more ahead in crimes like rapes, kidnapping, murders, than UP. Nobody from BJP is talking about it. Even media is always concentrated on UP/Bihar crime news and have soft corner towards BJP ruled states.

FEKU should peep into BJP ruled states than peeping into bathrooms!
