Mangaluru, Feb 9: 'Bhandary Meridian' residential apartments, a project by Bhandary Builders was inaugurated by Mangaluru City Corporation mayor Harinath at Bejai here on Thursday February 9. All the flats in the apartment complex are already sold out.
Addressing the gathering, mayor Harinath said, "Bhandary Builders has come up with a new project with good amenities for residents. I congratulate Lakshmish Bhandary and his team on building such beautiful residential apartments at an affordable rate for the customers.
"Mangaluru is one of the fast growing cities where myriad apartments have come up, at the same time, Mangaluru City Corporation plays an important role in maintaining such infrastructure. Mangaluru requires drainage facilities and we are looking forward to construct drainage systems in Mangaluru under Amrut scheme and I assure that within two years, the problems regarding drainage will be resolved," the mayor said.
CREDAI president D B Mehta said,"As CREDAI president, it is always a pleasure to attend the inaugural function of Bhandary Builders and I am cent percent confident that what he promises, he will deliver. Corporator Shashidhar Hegde said, "Local administration and MCC have taken initiative in providing basic amenities to the people including water, drainage and concrete roads. The contribution of builders in constructing good residential apartments need to be appreciated. Lakshmish Bhandary has contributed to Mangaluru with 11 projects and provided customers with flats at affordable prices."
Corporator Prakash Salian said, "I had attended the foundation stone laying ceremony of Bhandary Meredian, and I had noticed that there was huge dumpyard right in front of the building. I soon appraoched Bhandary Builders consultant Venu Sharma to find a way to clear the dumpyard and he soon found a solution. Lakshmish Bhandary took the initiative to construct a Vivekananda Park and earlier this month a beautiful park was inaugurated on the eve of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti, which has to be appreciated."
Founder-chairman of AJ Group of Institution A J Shetty said, "Bhandary Meridian is the 11th project of Bhandary Builders and I have witnessed the inaugural functions of all the 11. Bhandary Builders consultant Venu Sharma said, "This is our 11th project and we thank our mayor Harinath, CREDAI president D B Mehta and all dignitaries for their full-fledged support. We are coming up with two new projects including 'Bhandary Heights' at Kottara which will be launched in 2018."
Structural engineer Anil Hegde, architect Gokul and contractor Sunil were felicitated on the occasion.
Sahil Rai compered the programme and welcomed the gathering, while Bhandary Builders consultant Venu Sharma proposed the vote of thanks.
BJP south block president Vedavyas Kamath, Bhandary Builders director Lakshmish Bhandary and others were present.
