Mumbai: Arts benefactor John A Sequeira passes away

Mumbai, Feb 7: John Eugene Sequeira (56), well-known entrepreneur of suburban Sakinaka, benefactor of arts, founder president of Konkan Kalakar Mumbai passed away in his Mangola Apartment residence, Sakinaka Nahar due to cardiac arrest on Monday February 6.

John Sequeira and his wife Arsula J Sequeira were felicitated last Saturday, at a programme held on the Pallotti Church premises, Andheri east by Konkan Publication Mumbai recognizing their contribution to arts.

John Sequeira had supported and honored several artistes with 'Pintam Konkan Kalakar award' through Konkan Kalakar organization every year.

He hailed from Pakshikere, Mulki. He has left behind his wife, a son and a large number of friends and relatives. His mortal remains have been sent to his hometown on Tuesday. The last rites will be held at Pakshikere St Jude Church on Thursday February 9 in the evening as per family sources.
