Dubai: Well known Konkani writer Vally Vagga felicitated

Dubai, Feb 7 : Senior Konkani writer Vally Vagga on a personal visit to the city was honored by Daiji Dubai and Daiji Rang Mandir associations here on Friday February 3 in the uAE.

The programme began with a short prayer service conducted by senior artiste Alwin Pinto. Darel Vamanjoor then introduced Vally Vagga to the attendees and then felicitated by Dayan Mukamar on behalf of Daiji Dubai and Daiji Rang Mandir for his outstanding contribution to the field of Konkani literature.

Vally then narrated his life story to the attendees. He shared his memories and initial days as a Konkani writer. The attendees also had the privilege of interacting with him.

Libera and Loy D'Souza, wife and son (a young entrepreneur) of Vally Vagga, Melwin D'Silva, regional manager of Air India and nephew of Vally Vagga, Robert Fernandes, president of Daiji Dubai Association were present.

Nanu Marol compered the programme. Stany Bela proposed the vote of thanks.
