Mumbai: Mumbai University holds discussion on Kannada poetry

Mumbai, Feb 6: A discussion on Kannada poetry was held under the aegis of Kendra Sahitya Academy, New Delhi and Kannada department of Mumbai University at Kalina campus, Santacruz east on Saturday February 4.

Popular artiste and writer Ekkaru Dayamani Shetty lit the traditional lamp. Bengaluru Doordarshan artiste Ramya presented Gokak's poems. Dayanand Salian, author Raman Shetty Renjala, Pramoda Mada participated and conducted the programme. Dr G N Upadhya led the discussion.

Well known advocate of the land, M V Kini, Ravi R Anchan, Dr Vani Uchilkar, Dr Mamatha Rao, Karunaker Hejmady, Surekha Devadiga, Lata Santhosh Shetty, Anitha Poojary Thakode and others were present.

Dr Rama Udupa and Kannada department assistant Dr Poornima S Shetty welcomed and compered the programme. Sushila S Devadiga proposed the vote of thanks.
