Bantwal, Jan 24: The Supreme Court has dismissed the appeal filed by three suspects of murder of Sajipa Nasir and attempt to murder of Sajipa Mustafa and upheld the judgment by Karnataka High court.

Bantwal taluk Sajipa Malaibettu resident Mohammed Nasir was hacked to death by four suspects with deadly weapons on September 7, 2015. Nasir who was employed as mason was returning home in an auto belonging to Mohammed Mustafa when the incident had occurred at Panolibail near Melkar. As Mustafa also was assaulted with weapons by the suspects, he too was seriously injured.

Out of four suspects, Vijeth Kumar, son of Manchi resident Vittala Adyanthaya, Kiran Poojary, son of Badaga Ulepady resident Shekar Poojary, Anil alias Dhanu Poojary, son of Thiruvailu resident Sadananda Poojary were arrested by the police and sent to jail. Another accused Manchi grama resident Abhi alias Abhijith is still absconding.

Nasir family had submitted a petition in the state High Court questioning the release on bail of three suspects by the district court even while they faced serious charges of murder and attempt to murder. The High Court which held trial of the case canceled the bail and ordered the suspects to surrender before January 16.

The suspects appealed against the verdict in the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court after hearing the arguments has upheld the verdict of the High Court and dismissed the appeal.

In the circumstances, the police are likely to arrest the suspects and produce them in the court.

    The District Court's grant of bail indeed unfortunate and questionable Both Apex Courts are of the opinion that the case is indeed serious and cancelled Bail.If they get bail,they will again do the same thing and therefore let them pay for that.

    Hope and pray that the Supreme Court also cancel the Bail of Accused Naresh Shenoy in the Baliga Murder Case
