Mangaluru, Jan 24: "Police personnel should make full use of their intelligence, cleverness, and experience in discharging their duties to the best of their abilities, and show proficiency in handling work. I hereby call upon each one of you to dedicate yourselves to the cause of protecting the society," said western range inspector general of police, Harishekharan.
He was speaking after taking part as chief guest in the passing out parade of the 13th batch of trainees of the district police training school of Daklshina Kannada district on Monday January 23.
Dakshina Kannada district superintendent of police, Bhushan G Borase, presented a report. Additional superintendent of police, Dr C B Vedamurty, proposed the vote of thanks.
Out of the 72 trainees who were trained in this batch, 66 are being deployed in Bengaluru (west) division, three will be posted to Kalaburagi, two to Kolar, and one will be working for the railway protection force at Bengaluru.
On this occasion, various awards were given to trainee achievers in outdoor and indoor sports apart from the best all-rounder, Rajkumar Pawar from Mukkalagudda Tanda in Raichur district.
