Mumbai: Billavara Association women's wing holds Arasina Kumkuma, poetic session

Mumbai, Jan 21: The women's wing of Billavara Association celebrated Arasina Kumkuma and a poetic session at Billava Bhavan, Santacruz east on Saturday January 21. Billavara Association president Nithyananda D Kotian inaugurated the session. The programme that was led by Women's wing president Shakuntala K Kotian, was set in motion by excellent teacher awarded Dr Vani Uchilkar. Sarala R Shetty, Shaila Pravin Poojary, senior author Dr Sunitha M Shetty, Bharath bank deputy executive president, advocate Rohini J Salian, former executive president Jayanti V Ullal, vice president Vilasini K Salian, women's wing office bearers were present on the dais. 

Dr Sunitha Shetty encouraged the women to write. She sang a poem in a melodious voice. Women members Sabitha Poojary, Leela Poojary and Shobha Poojary led the prayer. Anitha P Thakode, Sharada Anchan, Hema Sadananda Ameen, Shilpa Laxmikanth Poojary, Suguna Bangera, Prema Poojary were present. Shakuntala Kotian welcomed everyone gathered.

Senior author Shimanthoor Chandrahasa Suvarna, Saraswathi Chandrahasa Suvarna, women's wing joint secretary Laxmi S Poojary, Sumalatha Ameen, Chandrakala Suvarna, Vatsala Poojary, Prema Kotian, Bhavani Kotian, Vanitha Poojary and Leela Ganesh Karkal helped to make the programme a success. Joint secretary Dr Geethanjali L Salian proposed the vote of thanks. Arasina Kumkuma was administered to all the women at the end of the programme.
