Sirsi: MP Ananth Kumar Hegde facing assault charges gets anticipatory bail

Sirsi, Jan 20: Uttara Kannada Member of Parliament Ananth Kumar Hegde, who is facing the charges of assaulting doctors and other staff on duty in a private hospital, has managed to secure anticipatory bail from the first additional district court on Thursday, January 19.

Hegde was booked for assaulting the doctors and staff of TSS Hospital on January 2, over the delay in attending to his mother, who was ill.

Based on the statements of the doctors and on the CCTV footage, the police had booked a suo moto case against Hegde.

Advocate G V Naik appeared on behalf of Hegde.

    Hope the case against the MP is properly investigated and if found guilty then the required punishment is imposed on the guilty without any deviations.
