Designer to use industrial materials for LFW 2017 line

Mumbai, Jan 19 (IANS): Fashion designer Amit Aggarwal's creations to be showcased at the forthcoming Lakme Fashion Week Summer-Resort 2017 will involve a creative display of unconventional industrial materials.

The designer, along with Lakmé Salon, will present a collection on the first day of the forthcoming Lakmé Fashion Week Summer-Resort 2017 on February 1 here.

Speaking about the theme and the collaboration, Aggarwal said: "We share the same sensibilities about presenting something unique and relevant with an environmentally conscious approach. When we talk about being pro-environment, it's not only about going organic. There are so many by-products of technology and industries that can be incorporated intelligently into your design."

The line, AM.IT X Lakmé Salon, Summer Resort collection derives inspiration from unusable, unclaimed pieces of heritage.

"Hair couture has never been so fashionably dramatic. With hairdos that will create vogues out of waste, you can rest assured we will get heads turning," said Shailesh Moolya, National Creative Director, Hair, Lakmé Salon.
