Mangaluru: Tulu musical 'Udal' to hit theatres in April

Mangaluru, Jan 19: Ganesh Rajarajeshwari productions is all set to present a musical treat for all Tulu film lovers. The city based production banner released the audio songs of 'Udal' recently and received an outstanding response.

Udal is directed by Ravikumar Boloor. He has also written the story, screenplay, dialogues and lyrics for Udal. The film with social concern coupled with comedy is shot by cameraman Surendra Paniyooru.

Mahesh Parkala has composed the music for five melodious songs in Udal. 'Jolly Jolly' sung by  Ravindra Prabhu and Vaishnavi Kini is a happy song describing college life and the fun associated with it. 'Udal', the title song by Dr Nithin Acharya and Ninad Nayak calms the mind with its soulful lyrics and tune. 'Ninna Monene' and 'Yenkaade' are romantic numbers by Yashwanth, Ninad Nayak and Sangeetha Balachandra. 'Olpa Pondala' is sung by composer Mahesh Parkala himself.  

The film is produced by Rekha Ravikumar Boloor. Fresh talents Brijesh Manipal and Padmashree play the lead in Udal. Ravi Poojary Mulki plays the lead villain in the film. The movie has been shot in Mangaluru, Udupi, Manipal, Bengre and others places.

The movie tells about a college love story and the involvement of a politician's son in it. How the hero saves heroine from the hands of the villain who is indulged in trafficking of girls forms the crux of the film.
