UAE’s healthcare heroes to be honoured at annual Health Awards

Dubai, Jan 11: Movers and shakers of UAE’s healthcare fraternity will gather on Monday January 16 at the Godolphin Ballroom, Emirates Towers Hotel here, to kick-start the region’s most comprehensive annual Health Awards. The event will be jointly hosted by the Department of Economic Development (DED) of the city and Health magazine, the region’s favorite health and lifestyle magazine. The initiative aims to celebrate outstanding contributions of individuals, companies and innovations in the healthcare industry. Arab and Bollywood celebrities will grace the award ceremony.

The award categories cover professionals ranging from doctors and nurses to top executives and leaders, in addition to acknowledging exceptional healthcare facilities and department-wise excellence. Innovative initiatives, women trendsetters and CSR activities will also be recognised at the event.

Humaid Al Qutami, chairman of Board of Directors of Dubai Health Authority (DHA) will be the chief guest of the event, and Sami Al Qamzi, director general of DED, will be the guest of honour along with Thumbay Moideen, founder of Thumbay Group. The function will also be attended by celebrities from the Arab world and Bollywood as well as corporate chieftains and prominent healthcare leaders from the region.

Designed as a platform to publicise and promote significant achievements in the healthcare sector from across the region, the Annual Health Awards aim to inspire professionals and institutions to dream big and to embark upon great endeavours. The award aims to honour deserving achievers in the years to come too, gradually evolving as the hallmark of professional excellence.
