Got these good news at M'lore airport , (was a bit sentimental though, as usual while were on our way back to Dubai after vacation).
Hope Spice Jet will keep their South Kanara passengers happy, operating successfully with reasonable lowest fare. As we were charged rigorously especially during school vacations / Christmas season.
    Wishing every one good luck.

Vikas, Dubai...I'm still worried...timing will not solve problem!! If 3 flights land at same time during evening hours...??? If your evening flight gets delayed and lands in morning along with other flights??? I wish you get such experience!! Luckily I had no urge for toilet!!
I hope daiji will convey the need for additional screening unit and luggage belt!!

It's a good move by Spice Jet. We Mangaloreans living in the Gulf/Kuwait are badly in need of an alternative carrier to reach our hometown. It would an advantage and a great help if Spice Jet management consider operating Kuwait-Mangalore direct flights at least twice a week.

Great news, especially for Christmas/New Year travellers!

SpiceJet Management - For the benefit of the Abu Dhabi Mangaloreans, please consider a direct Abu Dhabi flight to Mangalore or at least a bus service to/from Dubai airport till the direct Abu Dhabi flight can be introduced.

Along with good news...worry is..there is only one scanner for arrival passengers!! Last week early morning 3 flights landed at same time and took nearly 3 hours to scan hand baggage!! What a pity!!! More cramped than bachelor accommodation of gulf or Bombay accommodation of olden days!! Pity Airport Authorities design of Mangalore Airport!! Again one luggage belt only!! How much Rome can be improved??? There is no place available!! It is like a cramped VT station!!! Believe me or see it yourself!!!! We are busy with cow issues and murders in the name of God, culture and belief!!! God save all 0f us!! MP's ( Member of Parliament rep) are useless as ever!!!An atheist is fairly lucky....nobody to blame!!

Now since Spicejet has obtained the green signal from UAE hub, I suggest that they (Spicejet) should go out and expand its fleet all across the GCC and start flight services.

Furthermore, it should take up the initiative of starting networking and too and fro flight operations everywhere from Doha to Mangalore, Doha to Bombay etc. It will be interesting to see how they chalk out a plan keeping the arrival and departure timings (both from and Mangalore) a top priority. Let the competition get stiffer, tighter and wide opened all across other airlines too. Why should we DEPEND only on one airline whose services are worse than pathetic? There should be performers in a competitive world. No slack should be excused. Why should there be a monopoly after all? Airlines should be able to provide value-based services for its customers irrespective of caste creed or partiality by any means. They should serve the customers interests and NOT profit per their discretion or whims and fancies. The faster done the better.
