Mumbai, Nov 15: ‘Makkalotsav ‘07’ was held by Kalajagattu Chinnara Bimba, to mark their fifth annual day celebrations in Shanmukhanand auditorium, situated near Kings Circle, Matunga (E) here on Wednesday November 14.

The programme was presided over by K Abhayachandra Jain, Moodbidri MLA and former chief whip of Karnataka and was inaugurated by governor S M Krishna.  Dr D Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari, Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala also graced the occasion.

Bollywood actor couple Abhishek Bacchan and Aishwarya Rai Bacchan were the chief guests.  Manmohan Shetty, CEO, Adlabs, Sandalwood musician Gurukiran, Karnataka former minister D K Shivakumar, Abu Dhabi Kannada Sangh president Sarvottam Shetty, were the guests of honour.



The children and their parents, Tulu-Kannada culture enthusiasts attended ‘Makkalotsav’ in larg number.  Bhajans, yakshagana, dance, devotional hymns, folklore, Rangoli, felicitation of specially-invited guests and stage programmes were held at the occasion.

Kalajagattu Chinnara Bimba Charitable Trust managing trustee Tonse Vijay Kumar Shetty, trustee and founder president Pooja Prakash Bhandary, executive president, Nayana Prakash Bhandary, honorary chief secretary, Shreyas Surendra Kumar Hegde, vice president, Bhavya Shetty, treasurer, Veena B Sarapady, vice president, Arun Shetty, joint secretaries, Kratika Amin, Prasad Shetty, Pratviraj Shetty, joint secretaries Trashi Shetty, Ankita Rai, Srusti Shetty, organizer, SI Prakash Bhandary, stage artiste, Surendra Kumar Hegde, were present on the dais.

    Mangloreans are doing great achievements in Bombay, It was nice to watch the beautiful pictures of the event along with our beloved Dharmastala Dharmadhikari Mr. Veerendra Heggade and bollywood stars Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai enjoying freely during this event without Amar singh.
