Mumbai: Mysore Association Observes Drama Fest

Mumbai, Nov 3: Mysore association, one of the prominent Kannada associations in the city is celebrating drama fest, as part of Suvarna Karnatakotsava, at Bhavudaji road in Matunga here from Friday November 2.

The Natakotsava is organized in the association with Kannada and cultural department of Karnataka Government and Mysore Sales International Ltd (MSIL) of Mumbai division.


‘Kalagangothri’ team of Bangalore will perform dramas continuously for 3 days. Dr B V Rajaram is the director of these dramas. ‘Mandra,’ derived from S L Bhairappa’s novel was played on Friday November 2.

‘Mysore Mallige’ of Rajendra Karant will be played on Saturday November 3 at 6.30 pm and ‘Mukhyamantri’ of T S Lohitashwa, translated from Hindi based Ranajit Kapur’s story, will be played on Sunday November 4 at 6.30 pm.

S Doreswami, president of Mysore Association, welcomed the drama team members. B R Manjunath was present on this occasion. At the same time condolence was marked in respect of senior dramatist Prema Karant and association member N Subrahmayan.
