Mangalore, Oct 6: St Joseph Evening College from Bangalore bagged the overall trophy of the Agno Fest 07 held organized by St Agnes College here, which ended on Saturday. 'Anveshana' - discovery of one's inner self - was the theme of the event.

St Aloysius College bagged the runners-up shield, while rest of the participating colleges also won places in individual events.

The valedictory function was held on Saturday evening with Yenepoya group's director Farhaad Yenepoya and his wife Surumi Yenepoya as guests of honour. Principal Dr Sr Prem D'Souza, staff coordinators Devi Prabha and Chandranath, student president Manjusha Hebbar and  student coordinator Laxmi Shenoy were present on the dais.

The event drew a good response with colleges, beside from the city, from places as distant as Hyderabad, Goa, Bangalore, Mysore etc. took part in it.

The prominent colleges which participated included St Aloysius College, St Aloysius Evening College, Fr Agnel College, Goa, St Joseph's Evening College, Bangalore, Adarsh College, Bangalore, Mahajan's College, Mysore, Canara College, Mangalore, SDM College of Management, Mangalore, Roshni Nilaya School of Social Work, Mangalore, Providence College, Calicut, Nizam's College, Hyderabad and Nitte S Adyanthaya Memorial College.

The first two days' proceedings were followed by variety entertainment programme. At the valedictory function, Farhaad Yenepoya appreciated the good work and educational standard achieved by St Agnes College.
