Udupi: Police recover Tata Ace vehicle stolen on April 2013

Udupi, Dec 18: Udupi station police have recovered KA 19 B 7696 Tata Ace vehicle allegedly stolen by its driver when the vehicle was parked in front of Brahmavara Varamballi grama market between 1 and 1.30 pm on April 29, 2013. A police case under IPC 199/2013 column 379 is registered in Brahmavar police station. The value of the stolen vehicle is said to be Rs 1,00,000. The accused has been arrested.

The operation was conducted under the guidance of Police commissioner P Rajendra Prasad under the supervision of district additional Police commissioner Santhosh Kumar and deputy Police commissioner Dr Prabhudev B Mane.

Brahmavar Police circle inspector Arun B Nayak and crime division staff Suresh Shetty, Prasad Shetty and Ramesh have arrested the accused, Kallukoppa Hanegere grama Theerthahalli taluk resident Raghavendra alias Raghu on December 16 at 12 pm at Sakleshpur bus stand and produced him at Brahmavar circle police station.

The Police commissioner has expressed his appreciation in the operation.
