Mangaluru: 'Chaali Polilu' collection crosses Rs one crore, sets new record

Mangaluru, Nov 21: In a first in the history of Tulu movie industry, comedy flick 'Chaali Polilu' has crossed Rs one crore in box office collections in just three weeks, breaking previous box office records.

The film, which hit theatres in the coastal districts on October 31 and later released in Shivamogga and Bengaluru, has so far collected Rs 1,12,00,560.

'Chaali Polilu' is a testimony to the fact that even Tulu movies have the potential to rise to global cinematic standards, financially and artistically.

The team of 'Chaali Polilu' and Jayakirana Films under which the film was produced are ecstatic about the enthusiastic response from its viewers and hope to achieve the same from audience all over the world.

Prakash Pandeshwar, producer of 'Chaali Polilu' and proprietor of Jayakirana Films has expressed his gratitude to the patrons of the movie in Mangaluru and elsewhere for maintaining their support throughout these three weeks by watching the movie in theatres.

    The comedy genre always wins and add to that if the quality of acting, shooting, dialogues, technical qualities like sound, dubbing, photography are also good, then the film is bound to do good irrespective of the language... three cheers to 'CP' team!
