Sacred Heart Church celebrates Nativity Feast

Mumbai, Sep 17: Sacred Heart Church, Mahakali Caves Road, Andheri (E) celebrated Nativity Feast on Sunday September 14.

Fr Ronald D'Silva blessed the new crops while the children adored Mother Mary with flowers. Fr Innocent Fernadis conducted the prayer ceremony. Fr Rohan gave the homily. Fr Cyril D'Souza offered the thanksgiving mass. Fr Edward D'Mello, Fr Mathew, Fr Wilson Wilfred and Fr Chinnapana were the co-celebrants of the mass.

A cultural programme was organized at the church hall in which Snehasadan Association children performed dance and singing events. Fr Innocent Fernadis and association president Tony Francis Almeida lit the lamp and inauguarated the programme. The main organiser of the event Richard D'Souza was given a floral welcome. The blessed crops of paddy were distributed to the devotees of the parish.

The traditional vegetarian food was cooked and served to the people gathered; association secretary Julie F Almeida gave a floral welcome to the guest. Clement Lobo compered the programme and seretary Lenni Fernadis deliverd the vote of thanks.

Treasurer Pais Fernadis, Lucy D'Silva, Richard Peris, Robert D'Souza and Clementina Furtardo were present during the programme.
