Cardinal Simon Pimenta was a simple man. Pope Francis would have loved him for his simplicity. He was our Rector of the diocesan seminary in Mumbai at a difficult time of change after Vatican II.Although he seemed conservative, he was open to the winds of change that swept in and handled issues with a sense of calm and serenity.
May his soul rest in peace.

I have known him as Fr. Simon Pimenta as an altar boy in Holy Name church when he was secretary to late Cardinal Valerian. A very devout holy priest - a perfectionist I should say. May his soul rest in peace.
