this cm has presented previous budgets too, hence he has done a good job. he has taken care of all sections. he is sincere and has the interests of the state in his heart, all should extend their whole hearted support to our cm.at the outset he has taken some good steps which is going to be gaint leaps in the long run, this again will lead us to bangalore becoming our garden city once again.
Thanku Siddu farmers are very happy because of your budget. and Spl thanks from Students.giving more impotance to education. hats up to u siddu....
Dear Eskey, just like the entire Muzrai funds are managed by the Muzrai department, the entire affair of the waqf board is managed by the board (not "the community" but government appointees). Ultimately, both go to the respective coffers. Muzrai funds go to "Government coffers". This is what I indicated in my previous comment, if you take the time to check. It goes to the Muzrai department, not to "government coffers", as many who defend the grants seem to state (incorrectly, probably for propaganda purposes). At the end of the day, both departments are managed by ministers and appointees of the government in power. In fact, the last 2 ministers in charge of waqf were messers Sadananda Gowda and Jagadish Shetter- the BJP couldnt nominate someone from the community to even handle waqf! And you say it's in the hands of the community! AT the end of the day, any funds coming from outside these department comes from taxpayer's money. If you do not like the way the Muzrai department is handled (just like many muslims strongly oppose waqf managements), that's another thing altogether - let's not mix up these two. I hope this clears your misconceptions. Thanks for responding, and for the kind wishes
Best CM so far Karnataka has seen. Best budget as expected. Zero % loan to farmers. Given importance to educate children. God bless Siddu n Karnataka govt.
Congaratulation to our CM for the superb progress oriented budget submitted in the presesnt financial condition of the State.Hope,he will implement the budget promises along with the commitments given in the manifesto.I appeal to CM to stop corruption, pilferage of income and concentrate to increase the revenue to meet the comitments. All the best sir.Thanq.
Dear Siddanna....For many years before and many years to come..I feel you will be the best CM in the history of Karnataka.........you are as powerful as elephant...Haathi Chale Bazaar...Kutta bhonke Hazaar"..U continue your ride Mr. CM...Keep it up...and thanks for a good budget
friends, don't take serious about jeevan and Nagesh comments as always burning for them, they will get ice
After Long time Good budget presented by siddu Government, Thank god no money will spent to Mandir as BJP government
My dear friends.....please do not politicize the issue of budget. The benefit of the budget will be directly or indirectly for the welfare of the citizens of our Great State Karnataka, irrespective of Religion,Cast & Creed. Let us welcome the moves by the Chief Minister who has presented this exemplary budget for the welfare of our state.
Most beneficiaries of Rs.100 crore Christian Development Fund will be the non-Christians as usual. Christian schools, hospitals, charitable programs have more non-Christian beneficiaries then Christians. Please note that these funds are not for developing the Churches and convents. I am sure CDF funds will be managed by laity and not by the religious heads.
One of the best Budget.God Bless all political party.but govt. must spend some amount for politician also for foreign tour.if our mp and mla visit foreign country then only politician can bring some change and can make our state beautiful.
Christian have done a lot for the society. . Thy have provided Education and that is the main reason we should respect them and their social deeds..Guys don't be jealous. . They deserve it.
Well said Mohammed Akram, Mangalore
I too hope Shashi. But there will be few more to continue the rhetoric. The debate that was desirable in this context was about the quality of the budget. Sadly no one commented about absence of income figures or the percentage of that spent for administrative expenses. Nobody commented about budget deficit and the steps proposed to cover it. A mere 100 crore outlay became a point of debate. This shows how indefferent we still are on major issues.
True, Dear ESKEY,Every time Focus point is diverted, and we end up debating religious matter. Most of us are hijacked by few, and missed focus on overall budget and its implications.Same is the fate of OUR STATE & NATIONAL POLITICS, major issues like security, well being, food, shelter, clothing and development are left aside and religious issues are focused. No religion can ever be greater than HUMANITY.
Hi Valerian,Diverting attention has become a daily affair, done by followers for both parties.I would like to beleive most do it just to poke fun at each other. But beleive me Sir, It is not amusing for me. I do not know about others.I too poke fun sometimes on this forum. BUT, serious issues are serious issues. There must be a stop (by own self) being funny when the debate becomes serious. After all, we are not here in Daijiworld forum to be trading personal scores. We are required to behave like an extended family. Isn't it? We know each other well so much to understand that our political affiliations are separate but still we find some common ground to interact in a healthy way without being personal. As regards your earlier remark on the reservation issue. I agree with you and we have deliberated on this issue previously once in this forum. Thanks for your comments.
Jeevan & co are getting heart attack of this budget!

CYRIL MASCARENHAS, KIREM/MIRA ROAD/DUBAI... Temples under Mujrai Dept are earning Govt in Crores. So this distribution for a cause is justified. Can you please tell what is the justification for this BHITTI 100 CRORE donation ??? Just votes ?????
Most commentators do not know the government income from temples. This year from kukke subrahmanya temple only contributed 65 crores to government. Im talking about one temple, just think about all temples. If you people have doubt use RTI check with government.
WELL SAID ESKEY..UDUPI....HOPE SOME PEOPLE GET SOME SENSE FROM READING YOUR ARTICLE...
Wonderful budget..happy that the Alcohal price increased, this was very good move, liquor should stop the drinking and save our Karnataka by rapes, stop the yell and fighting to thier families etc... Each and everything is wonderful budget allocated here... Keep it up Mr. Siddaramayya..
Just Rs.100 crore for Christian community ? In karnataka, no one bothered to address concerns of Christians for over 6 decades. When rupee value is so low, this 100 crore is insignificant. Christains never given help from government so far. Atleast Siddu made an attempt to help christians. All other communities n castes have received enough from previous governments. Considering the neglect from all previous governments, the total allotment for christians should have crossed Rs.1000 crore. All major aouncements by siddu are people friendly... I am sure he will be the greatest CM so far.
I can see many A** are on fire, :) :D
NAGESH NAYAK BANGALORE.CAN YOU TELL ME WHY YEDDY/BJP GIVEN HUNDRED HUNRED CRORES TO EVERY TEMPLE IN KARNATAKA..??? THIS JUST 100 CRORES FOR CHRISTIANS ,YOU GOT HURT...?
Dear Cyril, Now we can see clearly who are communal, biased and their party affiliations!Same people are FOR reservations to poor of OTHER CASTS, BUT DEAD AGAINST reservations to Poor Christians how biased they are! Therefore biased reservation system based on casts should be scrapped completely and economic based reservation should be introduced.
First of all, one should know how much money goes directly to the government each year from the 'nationalized' temples. There are many in our district whose income is substantial. Subramanya is one and kollur is another just for example. They wanted to take Udupi temple too, if you remember. One of the ideals of taking over temples (as per religious endowments act) is to maintain other historically important temples which could not otherwise sustain from its own income. If BJP has given money for the re-construction of temples, it has not done so by looting tax payer's money as you allege. It has been given from the money collected from the rich temples. Still the surplus money has been used for developmental works (whether they used it or not it is another question) Why can't you see that the Congress has been ignoring the interests of the majority community for several decades by not allocating the money collected from the rich temples to maintain other temples with lesser income? As far as my knowledge goes, Government has no income from churches or mosques (the money offered by devotees) across the state. At the same time there are many other temples (mostly known as matts) does not contribute to state’s income. Why this discrimination only to Hindu temples? Let there be an apex body of Hindus manage the affairs of all temples in the state. Please do not ask sarcastic questions like why money was given to temples, as if somebody has committed a crime. Of course, question must be asked whether the allocated funds are utilized properly or not.I am not against allocating money for the Christian causes. Even BJP government proposed to allocate 50 crores. I do not know whether it has been paid or not.Cyril Sir, By all means you can answer nageshmam’s comments in the same manner but please think of others in the majority community who have no part in this joke.
Well, Mr. Eskey, by your logic, millions go to "government coffers" from waqf property too, but I didn't see the BJP government liberally donating to mosques and dargahs? Income obtained here is shown under these departments, and not transferred to general government funds per se- so there's no question of the government or the finance department using these funds for general use. And when the government gives grants to religious institutions in the budget, it does not do so from Muzrai funds, but from taxpayer's money! I'm sure you are intelligent enough to know the distinction, Eskey!
Dear TP Abdul Khader,Let me offer few clarifications (from my understanding) on your above comments. It is not correct to say millions go to "government coffers" from waqf property. Of course millions of rupees collected as income from about 27,500 waqf properties in our state goes to the ‘Waqf Board’ The entire affairs of the waqf properties which includes Mosques, Dargahs, Idgahs, Khabrastans, Ashoorkhanas, Orphanages, Makans, etc., are managed by the Waqf Board.Government DOES NOT INTERFERE in the affairs of Waqf Board. The annual budget is prepared by the Waqf Board. Government’s only control is in the form of Audit of income & expenditure. The income does not go to the government. Whereas, the income from the Muzarai temples go directly in to "government coffers". In the absence of any apex body like the Waqf Board in the case of management of Muzrai temples, the affairs of it is often loosely managed, uncontrolled and goes to the extent of ‘don’t care’ to many. It becomes a big news if government allocates money for re-construction (which should not have been)Let me assure you the amount of money allocated by BJP government is a small portion compared to the income it received from temples. Then where is the question of tax payers money here?My point of writing my earlier comment was – to end the discriminationLike there is an independent body to manage the affairs of Waqf properties, LET THERE BE A SIMILAR BODY TO MANAGE HINDU TEMPLE PROPERTIES. Can we not manage our own affairs like you are able to manage your affairs? Why government wants to touch money donated to the temples if IT CAN NOT (or does not) TAKE CARE OF OUR TEMPLES?Please note, we are not asking the Government to take control of Waqf Properties or Take over affairs of the Christian Institutions. What we are merely asking is Let us HINDUS manage our affairs ourselves like you people do. Thanks Dear TP for your comments & sharing your opinion. Ramadan Mubarak to you.
Kereya Neeranu Kerege Chelli..... Dear CM Siddu... from where the money comes? It is always middle class tax payers money utilised for all purposes except for their welfare, irrespective of any government...
This budget is to loot middle class and upper middle class people of Karnataka. BJP's budget was people friendly and reducing cess on diesel is foolishness.
RS. 100 CRORES FOR CHRISTAIN COMMUNITY?IS IT FOR CHURCH ATTACK FINDING OR "KAPPA KAANIKE" .SIDDU AND CO. HAS NO AGENDA BUT APPEASEMENT FOR SOME VOTES.FUNDS FROM ABROAD PLUS KARNATAKA GOVT. FUNDS FOR WHAT PURPOSE?
BOLLU MANGALORE.DEAR BOLLU.THANK GOD . AT LEAST THIS GVT IS BIG HEARTED. NOT LIKE BJP ..WHATEVER IT GIVES WE ACCEPT IT.
Goverment should stop giving funds on cast basis , it should be only allocated to goverment works rather than any community ,same mistake was done by previous goverment now its continued by the present goverment ..
Only JDS migrants are seen in first 4 photos with Siddu. !!
MOSARALLI KALLU HUDUKUTHIRUVA DINESHA
SIDDU INTIALLY INVESTED HEAVILY IN KING FISHER MALLYA SHARE STOCK MARKET ...NOW HE HAS MOVED HIS INVESTMENT TO PETROLEUM COMPANY...WHATS NEXT...
Most of the commenters are asking only one questions?100 crores for christians why? When the govt was giving money to temple developements has anybody has asked question...For one religion betterment money is getting then why are you taking tension...we will use this for only good purpose..
PrashanthIf it's the case why not allocated 200 crores for Muslim Development Fund..they are of course much in pathetic condition than christians..!! At least Christians are having many Institutions for there welfare..!! Many communities in Hindu..are living below poverty line..what budget provided by them...??
Siddu, what is in store for rapist congress workers?
Correct your sentence Dinesh....It should be "what is in store for women molesters, homestay attackers, Church attackers, pub attackers". I think you are like Gajini....Memory loss (not short time.....long time)
Alcohol is more expensive? I can't believe it.Siddji, you are going back on your promise? How do you expect poor people to live?
S.K.Allocated Dialysis Unit in all Taluk levl.. Drink Cheap Liquor..may be first Liver will affect at the end Kidney..!!For all provision made by sidduji..
Bolluji,Nice one.First start the dialysis unit in each district. Then to find continuous patients give 'cheap' liquor. You think this is the IDEA?What a scheme Sir, but one dialysis unit per district may not be enough.
Eskay..It's already there in the Budget..!!
Better to handover karnataka to Modiji for 10 yrs for rapid development..
Rapid development in carying out fake encounters?????
Jeevan, Karnataka is not your or my ancestral property to handover to anyone. Have some sense before commenting.
Jeevan, that means if you don't get baby from your wife, do you handover your wife to somebody else? Don't think of selling Karnataka. Karnataka belongs to Kannadigas and not fake Gujarathis.
You practised same ???
Mangalore & udupi has got 3 ministers but mlore has not got anything... Two weeks back mr sorake said that they will increase the city limits and they will create greater mlore... But they didnt release any money for mlore city... They say that mlore is a second best city in whole karnataka and we had lots of expectations from this govt but ultimately it is same like the other old govt...
looks like a good budget. Instead of making 100 of false promises its better make few promises and try to fullfil them and hope this will be taken care by siddu..Wish you success.
Totally imbalanced budget. No consideration of employment generation, information technology. No plans to develop small and medium scale industries..
really very good budjet.sidduji keep it up sir

Good move by Congi...... 100 crore for Christian community in the state.Today siddu submitted Christian budget.... tomarrow siddu submit hindu budget... day after tomarrow Muslim budget... Govinda Re Govinda...
y r u jealous man. Christian community contributed a lot for the society. previous chaddi govt alloted temples. we never condemned that/y?
ZERO budget for Moral Policing!!!....Jeevan is upset....
Is any special aid alloted in budget for Congi rapist ???
Jeevan, this is first time in Karnataka history announced Rs. 100 Cr. for Christians don't get mad previous CM's announced 1000 of Cr. to others that time Christians never said anything against, why you are so jealous of this? always i am reading your comments really good but here not good to think like narrow minded person
See i am not objecting 100 crores.. first of all tell frankly is christian community reqd aid ??? yes i am against allocating fund on religious basis wheter it is hindu, muslim or christian... and not tolerate vote bank politics.. Regarding the aid to temple do you know most of the temples are under govt control.. we donate money to temple and govt reallocate for needy temples thats all...
You are right Jeevan. But also you should see that Christian community never got anything like this before. But inspite of that for the past many mnay years chirstian organizations have done much more for the public welfare (irrespective of any religion) in terms of running schools at a very very low profit.
In this budget nothing is for lower middle/middle class sector. I fail to understand formation of 10 Fast Track Courts for dealing with atrocities on women. Whether Siddu is contemplating more atrocities on women in the next 5 years? Why not transfer Manipal rape case to fast track court and punish the culprits within 6 months. No because the culprits are member of Congress party. Most of the coastal people are on the verge of displacement due to sea erosion and no solace from the budget at all. Every year the government is spending on this issue over and again. It has become a source of manipulation. Granting of Rs.100 Crores to Christian community is a welcome sign. But underneath this decision Siddu played another game plan of divide and rule policy. I am afraid tomorrow Muslim community members will also stand up for this type of grant. If denied against there will be rift between the communities. The Annabhagya has received criticism from his own colleague and it is true that there are number of short comings in this scheme which will deter BPL Card Holder to search for employment and earn their livelihood.
Hats off to u CM. you have done a wonderful job. Atleast u noticed the goodwork the christian community is doing for the public. God bless u. Also to make the liquor more expensive its a very good step. Because these addicts are burden for the family. Now let the budget be burden for them.Understanding the needs of the farmers and encouraging them, now more people will be interested in farming. well done
May be UPA chairperson might have requested as a special case.& Siddu has pleased her.
Why 100 Crores for christian community? and why not for other community. It shows discrimination between the cast. Instead of providing crores of rs to particular community it is better to invest on shelter, health, education who really need for the help. Its a question mark here how many real needy people get benefit from this from our community leaders.
I fully agree with you, Anup.
What is special in this Budget? Every year specific amount is fixed to pass on to High Command by way of sectorwise allocation.
Not at all futuristic budget. No mention or allotment for power generation, nothing for sea errossion, Not any plan for IT growth in tire2 cities.Other than spending no plan for any future growth of the state.
I have been seeing several Budgets being presented for Bangalore but the outlook of the city is still the same from last 5 years.Poor Management of Garbage and Roads is still existing .No Street lights even in the Capital of this state.20 Cr for Saplings to be planted. They only plant and allow those saplings to grow at the mercy of rains.70 percent saplings will die within a week .Money will go into the drains.600 Cr BDA Complex? Is this Complex going to be Gold plated on the walls?A BDA Complex can be constructed within 100 cr.Tax payers money is not utilised in a meaningful way .
SM, BangaloreSimple, BangaloreIt will be much much cheaper if Coconut palm leaves\coconut trees are used to build the BDA complex. May be within ONE CRORE? 99 Crores saved!!!!See I can also budget it like you.
100 crore for christian community for what purpose. They r not included in karnataka budget? If giving money to temple is wrong then this also wrong
Rocking, Sir,Siddaramiah..Keep on going.....Mr. Modi may biting his nail.
GOOD BUDGET. SIDDARAMAYA ROCKS.May be in future he will introduce cheap but safe alcohol for poor.
Jospeh..Should introduce cheap liquor earliest..Already made 'provision' to have 'dialysis' unit in all taluk's..!!First effect fall of 'Liver' afterwards on 'Kidneys'..!!
BOLLU YOUR COMMENT IS LIKE A DRUNKEN KALLU, NOTHING BUT TOLLU, NEVER TELL SULLU.
100 Cr allocation to Christian communicty the credit should go to Our DK MLA Shri.JR.LOBO. AnywayThanks to you Siddanna.
Only beneficiary of this budget are christian 100 crores... ( chruch attack - Dal mai kuch kala hai... )
One of the worst budget... we must suffer without basic amentities..
Yes we can understand without any doubt you sufferings-Alchol is made costly and you are crying here.
You are right dear..Alchol is made costly for me it is ok i can bear but i am worried about you... please be away form cheap siddu sarrayee...
Jeevan I agree with you. Like previous government they would allotted some money for Kamabala in Puttur or they would have allotted some money for development of Some temples. Jeevan you are in dream age.
Tax payers money has to go christian development board ???
christian also tax payers
Where was reasoning when Yeddi contributed crores to Temples and Mutts? 100 crores for the community in the whole state? Its just a in the Ocean. Your Reddy and Yeddy brothers might have earned this as a daily wage....
Jeevan is reacting as though 100 Crore is given to EVERY Christian in the state. At lease now stop cribbing about cheap liquor.
Why does Congress Govt. try to please 1 religion? Why not allocate such resources to every religion and not just one!>>>Rs 100 crore for Christian community in the state.
Bryan Bahrain, When u r coming to mangalore please tell me also, give me 1/4 share. Bryan u r great .... maska chaska ?
THERE IS SEVERE SEA EROSION IN DK/UDUPI DIST..PLEASE TRY TO FINDOUT SOME PERMANENT SOLUTION.
agriculture and water resources could have done with some more funds especially when rain shadow areas in the state are reeling under drought and farmers have d crop holiday.but i welcome it as it is far far better than the previous governments budget which never gave anything to water resources and agriculture.
Cheap rice, expensive alcohol what an achievement Sidduji. Earlier BJP promised laptops are gone with wind...
Ella OK, but extra medical college Yaake ?? Already enough MMBS graduates "Kelenji dherondhuller". I guess our state has enough Medical & Engg colleges. All politicians inorder to convert their black into white dive into education and Medical sectors. More taxes on luxuries and less taxes on essentials & basic stuff that affects the savings of Middle class, poor & BPL is always a healthy Budget.
100 crore for Christian community in the state OMG, but what purpose is this money for? Who is going to receive this money on behalf of Christians, I am a Christian can I receive this amount on behalf of Christians, because I am coming on vacation.
QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE BUDGET SIDDARAMIAH.TAX ON DIESEL REDUCED..GOOD MOVE.I think it is first time TRANSGENDER GETTING RS 500/MONTH ...also a good move.MAX CAB TAXI GETTING 50% road tax MANNA also first of it's kind!!"TEN FAST TRACK COURTS TO TRY CRIME AGAINST WOMEN"wonderful suvidh...Totally sound budget.
Good budget overall.parking policy is required as there is no discpline at all with us and creates a mess !!four medical colleges again a good initiative and like free loans for farmers below 2 lakhs there should have been focus on subsidised/interest free loans upto 10 lakhs for all small entreprenurs ans startups
100 crore for Christian community, this is not communal as the benefit is not for Hindus....CRAP..Congi
THANK YOU SIDHANNA FROM CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY..SOMETHING BETTER THAN NOTHING..GOD BLESS YOU..
sonia jo bolti hai woh siddu kartha hai... jaldi india barbaad hoyega.... india ka naam bhi change hoyega.....italydia
Cyril..It's good to note government will give some incentives for bachelors..up above 40..!!
Congress always loots middleclass!! wherver they r , Liquor, Cigarette, road toll taxes (70/- minimum in maharastra), registration, petrol, road tax, sales tax, LBT... la*da-lasoon, everything is expensive!!!! n then they say they care for aam aadmi..... in few days while cooking, "namak swaad anusar, tamatar, pyaaj, carrot ..apne aukkad anusar daaliye!!!".... u wil lhear in TV cookery shows!
Siddu made alcohol to cost more ? It must be burden on rich and poor to loose all their daily earnings. Why Siddu you ditched poor people from alcohol consumption ?
