Bahrain: Death of Indian couple – Murder, suicide suspected

Daijiworld Media Network – Bahrain (SP)

Bahrain, Jul 11: Some reports claim that an incident in which an Indian couple settled in Bahrain had died under suspicious circumstances, was in fact, a case of murder followed by suicide. It is suspected that the death of the two occurred separately, although both happened at the same place in close succession.

Smizo Paulose (30), and his wife, Sanita Chandy George (27), both of Kerala origin, were found dead in the residence of Sanita’s sister. A local news agency claimed that Paulose had stabbed his wife to death before slitting his own throat.

Smizo had married Sanita about six months back. The reports said that Sanita worked as a nurse in the department of health services in Bahrain. It is said that Sanita was on a visit to her sister’s home for a few days, to take rest in connection with an abortion she had suffered in the recent past.

It is claimed that Paulose, who was seething with anger when he came to the house of Sanita’s sister on Monday July 8 and approached his wife, stabbed her to death in a fit of rage, and then sliced his own throat, causing his own death in the bargain. Reports said that the children of Sanita’s sister were eyewitnesses to this gory incident.

It is learnt that the police have begun detailed investigation into the incident in the presence of the officials of Indian embassy in that country.

Mr. Stan Dubai, you are absolutely right. When I was in one of the Gulf countries, a well qualified Sr. accountant pleaded me to give him accommodation for 2 days, because he vacated his apartment after sending his family back to India. I had an vacant apartment and accommodated him. He came with large suitcase on first day. After two days when I visited him, I found my flat was furnished as if he was going to stay permanently. When I told him to vacate the flat, he told he is unable to find a place and till he finds a place he would remain at my place, but WITHOUT paying rent of course and the language used was as if he will go legal way if I force him to vacate. This is only one small incident. Also, be careful, they bring company - bed bugs with them. It is well known to them as well.

Pint, Mlore, Please, for heaven's sake, dont make fun during someone's crucial time. Dont think that all Keralities are bad and all Mangaloreans good. May be the man had a bad temper and he realized it after murdering his wife and then desperately he too committed suicide.

Dear Mr. Peter do not draw a conclusion that all Keralites are crooks and you are the one in correct path. Please do not generalise the incident to a community as a whole, their may be several reasons to it. It looks like you have suffered lot in the hands of Keralites, forgive them.

Few months ago a Malayee mother killed her child and committed suicide in UAE. Now, husband killed his wife and committed suicide. Maximum number of suicides in Gulf countries are of Malayalees. Why ? Walk on the straight path & reach right destination. Adopt crooked path and reach wrong destination.

    Dear Peter Pereira'
The reason Keralites commit the highest suicide is that they are simply the community with the most population.Your insinuation requesting the Keralities (Malayalees) to walk the straight path is also highly uncalled for.
What happened is a tragedy for both the families and in their moment of grief please refrain from your prejudiced views on the Keralite community.

The Marriage means adjustment. In olden days whatever happens the wife use to adjust with husband as she was dependent on husband. But now it is changed i.e. ladies also educated and earning like husband so they will not adjust/respect the husband. When the argument takes place the person will take extreme step and will forget what will his next action.

He loved the woman so much that after killing her, did not find meaning in his own living!

Whatever, a cowardice and gutless act by the husband.

Much more facts to be uncovered, I guess.

Shettre, did Sanita tell u that she aborted her pregnancy? How did u come to this conclusion? Bad temper is the biggest vice, u can take somebodys life and lose your own too foolishly. So when u r very angry put some cold water on your head.

@ santhosh,if u have no idea about the abortion please dont talk.I too had abortion. If the baby is not formed due to some reasons or could be any reason it automatically gets aborted. Moreover she is a nurse and there are more reasons for her like radiation hazard and so on. For ur kind information in gulf unless it strong medical reason there is no ABORTION. she was not in ABORTING INDIA for 100 Rs.

WHEN A MAN LOOSES STRENGTH IN GOD THEN DEVIL ACTS. WE ALL NEED TO BE BRAVE WHEN WE FALL SHOULD NEVER GO FOR EXTREME DECISION WHICH WILL END OUR LIFE. LIFE IS ONLY ONE CHANCE GIVEN TO ALL OF US TO PROVE OURSELVES BEFORE OUR GOD IF WE LOOSE THIS CHANCE WILL NEVER COME BACK TO TASTE THIS WORLD AGAIN.

What a oweful incident it is. Unbelievable. A Christian family suppose to seek church advise. This is the very reason it is said pray at all times unseasingly, you will get wisdom and power of God. Which will give you understanding to think twice before you enter into any criminal acts or fights.

    Dear Leona,

It is very easy to say for church advice and all. But when the situation arises then no one can do anything for that bad anger. Anger is deadliest thing in this world. We too may behave same if things go bad. Anyways lets pray for them. RIP

Anon, do you pray while problems pop in or do you pray before the problems pop in. If you are in danger with lion and snake, then you should pray before you see them, so that someone can protect you which believers say that an Angel, a Saint or God protected from the evils. But if you pray when the evil strikes on you then it is a miracle by God and not by human. So next time pray before the evil strikes and not after. Do not give dumb examples, only atheist say that way.
