Daijiworld Media Network – Karkala (SP)

Karkala, Jun 7: It is learnt that a child suffered burn injuries on Wednesday June 5 when attending the anganwadi at Harjaddu in Kukkundoor village in the taluk. It is alleged that the anganwadi worker purposely inflicted these injuries.

Arshith (3), son of Radha from Harjaddu, has been admitted into the government hospital here for treatment of the burn injuries. Allegedly, anganwadi worker, Bhagya, placed something that was hot, on Arshith’s face and both the hands, probably to discipline the child.

A case in this connection was registered in the police station here.
