Bangalore: CD 'exposes' nude dance party at resort, probe ordered

Daijiworld Media Network – Bangalore

Bangalore, May 29: In a revelation that is likely to create a stir, the Karnataka Rakshana Vedike has released a CD allegedly showing a 'nude dance party' at a resort near the famous Sri Ghati Subramanya Kshetra in Doddaballapur here.

The CD was released by leaders of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike during a press meet held at Doddaballapur on Tuesday May 28.

As soon as the clippings were telecast on TV channels, the owners of the S R Valley resort said that the incident took place 4 years ago and that a complaint had also been filed in the police station.

Meanwhile, the central zone IGP Amar Kumar Pandey ordered an investigation into the matter and said that further action will be taken based on the probe report.

Shivarame Gowda, state president of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike in a statement said that along with nude dance, there were various other illegal activities taking place in the SR Valley resort located in Bangalore rural district.

He also said resorts located in the outskirts of the city are hubs for illegal activities where they bring girls from other states.

During the press meet, the leaders also released the video clip to the media, but did not say when the party actually took place. The footage reportedly shows over 10 girls with skimpy clothes dancing to a gathering. Some of the men in the crowd also undress. Sources said that the girls were brought from Andhra Pradesh.

On October 9, 2009, a nude dance party was organized in the resort by GVR Agri Chemical company from Andra Pradesh. The manager was sacked and the owner himself had filed a complaint.

On behalf of the company, Chandrashekar from Gauribidanuru had booked rooms in the resort and it is said that more than 100 people were in the party.

"We came to know about the party after a few months. In this regard, we had filed a complaint in Doddaballapur rural police station on September 9, 2010," said Sampangiramaiah, owner of SR Valley resort.

"We were also warned by the police to be alert so that no such incidents occur in future," he said.

Locals express anger against police

Even after the complaint was filed by the resort owner, the police were least bothered about taking action against the accused, allege locals. "Even after 4 years of the incident, no action has been taken so far. Such carelessness by police encourages incidents like these," they said.

In connection to the incident, the Karnataka Rakshana Vedike staged a protest in front of the resort demanding strict action.

Police suspected that the footage was recorded by a videographer who was called to the party by some guests. There is a possibility that the clippings might have been sold later.

The case has been handed over to senior police officer N Nagaraj from Bangalore urban. As per the reports obtained from primary investigation, it is learnt that the incident indeed took place in October 2009.

The comments on this are shameful. All that matters to the public, mostly men who have commented here, is about BJP and Congress.

Nobody is bothered if these women were coerced into doing it, objectification of their bodies or the fact that a womens modesty is being deliberately ignored by the morons in the name of political parties. Mind you, people like these are the ones who will be in the next race party, cribbing about politics and failing to protect the modesty of women again. Double standards through and through. Such a shame

    Hi Eskey,

    Namaskara.

Lovely comments. Straightfoward and clear cut.

I had been (in the past) was only reading the morning news but was not keen to read the comments of fellow readers in Daiji. Once I started going through readers views/cooments/counter comments, it really inspired me to the extend that why I too cannot take part in this form and express my views too. (not attacking/hurting comments)

As you said, the comments should not be taken as personal. What happend under BJP's rule specially in Mangalore is the experience of past. They learnt from their mistakes. Unless we, the citrizens join hands in the progress and prosperity of our country, good things never fall from sky. Plicital parties alone will not be able to solve all the problems at once.

I do not believe in a particular pary unless that party is clean and away from curruption. Why not BJP for a change in the Centre. We can Give another chance, wait for 5 years term and decide what should be done in the next election time. whatever, happending in the Centre... we need to have a for better.

All the best have a good day.

    Dear Flavian,
Thanks to Daiji for providing us this wonderful forum to express our views and make new friends in the process. I am a new entrant to this forum (4-5 months).
BJP was given a chance but they have managed to squander it. Sadly, there is no clean party today. Voter will hold the key in future. Gone are the days of blind support to a party.
Let us hope that a better (active) PM will rule India after 2014.
    Thanks and good day.

    Hi Eskey,

Please excuse me if you felt bad.

I have very good experience of free life of Mangalore. (may be three decades ago)

My philosophy of life is, have fun, enjoy life, do not misuse (every thing should be permissible limit)

I will not involve in commenting on politiacal or communal based issues. I know what life is and how we have to strive to achieve our goals. Becasue life comes only once.

Dear Flavian, First of all, let me assure you that I have not felt bad from your comments. (no need for you to be apologetic).
As I have commented earlier in this forum, I enjoy participating in good natured comments from readers. While I have strong opinions on various issues, I take care not to hurt anybody. I do not make personal comments on fellow commentators nor do I accept anybody doing so. One topic which is close to my heart and I enjoy indulging in most is - ridiculing politicians on this forum. Irrespective of their party affiliations I try to make fun of them (for their wrong actions only) whether it is Siddanna or Yeddi or Ishwarappa. Basically I am a supporter of BJP (not in this election though), terribly disappointed by their action and sincerely hoping them to be a responsible national party in the coming years. Because I believe for a better future of India, single party (majority on its own) governance is ideal at the centre whether it is Congress or BJP, I don’t mind. Generally I believe good and bad is there in every section in the society, including politics or in religion. I do not support BJP blindly. I have always reserved my right to criticize them (I have often done that in this forum to the confusion of many) whenever they have done wrong. At the same time I have appreciated good actions of Congress (may be on fewer occasions). It is human nature to criticize than to appreciate. Our criticism gets noticed first than our appreciation isn’t it?
I fully agree with your views. I too had a good share of ‘free’ life. Like you said it was ‘controlled freedom’. I was fortunate (still I am) to visit many countries (both developed and under-developed) as part of my job and convinced about how precious is our LIFE. While I avoid commenting on communal issues, I can’t resist myself from commenting on political issues. I believe if you exclude that also then there is no fun left in life. Thanks for your feedback. Keep commenting and enjoy.

    Hi Ramesh,

I am miles (thousands) away from my loving native place Mangalore.

During my youth days being a student, we, with friends (no girls - strictly barred) used to have singsong, dance at panamboor beach. But no nuisance and there was no name of moral policing and attacks. True sense of living used to prevail.

In my opinion Morning mist party or Rave parties are immoral. Loud music (disturbing other peoples peace of mind) is bad. If at all they wanted to celebrate the birthday party, they could have done it at one the friends house and ofcourse not with blasting music to annoy the neighbours and beyond the permissible time limit.

Moral policing must be curbed. Karnataka Rakshana Vedike must use their available time on social work. Let the police department do their duties. Bangalore is cosmopoliton city and may be dancing/cabare /casino are allowed as it is happening in Goa. If there is a strict law in place then tourist must know about this.CM should be very strict on moral policing and specific on public entertainment law.
