We appreciate the concern shown by Railways To clear the rush of summer vacations passengers.
One request to Railways: Delhi and Gujarat bound trains may have provision of Halt at
    1. VASAI (W.RLY)
    2. DIVA (C. RLY)
    3. As in PANVEL it has halt for NAVI MUMBAI bound passengers.

The Railways can instead have an AC chaircar for the Mangalore - Madgao fast passenger train which leaves Mangalore Central ( Hampankatta ) at about 6.30am. The present train is filthy.

Chandra, our entire Indian railway system is not geared for 21st century high speed travel in any way, not even closer to our neighbor China's success.

Ralph Pinto asked, in the Indian railway system, what is the difference between "Express" and "Superfast". In the Express train, there will be no security and Superfast trains will be controlled by train mafia and steal everything what you have. Besides, these are the categories: Local train, Fast Train, Express Train, Superfast Train. There are two new categories: "Janatha Express" and "Lightning Express". Janatha Express is like "Air India Express" and current tracks are not good enough for Lightning Express. That is why India is planning to build the 4-lane highway from Goa to Karnataka, where you will drive your "Nano" at lightning speed paying toll Rs1000/km.

In China the "superfast" trains will travel the same distance in 6 hours and on a daily basis. Plus they look very sleek and comfortable and not like 50 years old bogies as seen in the photo.

Something is better than nothing. Total AC Train to Modi Land.
I got one suggestion, instead of additional Trains why can't they attach additional Bogeys, to sustain the additional Rush.

In additon to increasing number of bogeys, double decker trains will also reduce the rush during high season.

There are many more tunnels in KR route. These tunnels has restricted height which can only accommodate regular bogies, definitely not for Double-Decker Bogies!!!

It's a welcome move. Only that this train cannot be called as super fast since all the existing trains plying between Mangalore to Ahmedabad take less time than this special train. Okha Express or Bikaner Express takes exact 24 hours, if on time, and is daily, of course with different names. Any how, this train with AC Tier only is indeed a special one.

There are lots of passengers traveling from coastal Karnataka towards Gujarat. However, all are facing problem in getting reservation tickets as most of trains are originating from Kerala, since quota for coastal Karnataka is too limited. It Will be a wise decision to convert this train to regular basis which will benefit both Karnataka and Gujarat passengers

Why Barkur? Mathsyagandha stop is a courtesy by KRCL by showing respect to requiisitions of local leaders. Not et at Barkur deserves!!

Real missing stop would be Kundapura...
