Love Jihad is international conspiracy: K S Eshwarappa

Sagar(Shimoga), Feb 18: "Love Jihad is still existing in our society. Innocent girls are being lured and converted to other religion. Society and parents must be alert in this regard," said deputy CM of Karnataka K S Eshwarappa during a Veerashaiva community programme at Sagar on Sunday February 17.
He was addressing a bride and groom search convention at Veerashaiva Kalyana Mantapa organized by Shantha Veereshwara Seva Samithi.
"Love Jihad is an international conspiracy, there is a racket existing that traps young girls on the pretext of love. People should be aware of those exploiting young girls and converting them to their religion. We should systematically remove this racket from our society. Conventions like today will create awareness about this. In every district bride and groom search conventions must be held to spread more awareness about this," he said.
He praised Shantha Veereshwara Seva Samithi for organising mass weddings every year, and thereby helping 3000 couples to get married free of cost.
