Mangalore: Letter and logo thieves caught on camera

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore (BG)

Mangalore, Feb 13: A CCTV footage of miscreants trying to damage the name board of UAE Exchange at the Fernandes Group head office in Valencia has been released, giving vital clues about the culprits.

The incident occurred on Thursday December 20, 2012 after 3 am. The staff who noticed this informed, Wilson Fernandes, managing director, Fernandes Group.

After Fernandes returned to India last week, he went through the video footage from that night and found the theft recorded on the CCTV camera.

The CCTV footage clearly shows two men who came in an unidentified vehicle trying to damage the nameboard by plucking the letters and taking them away.

The motive behind the act and the identity of the duo is yet to be ascertained. Incidents of name board letters and vehicle logo thefts have been increasing in the city at an alarming rate.

These letters and logos are expensive and bring high market value. There also seems to be a major network working behind these activities, said sources.

A complaint has been lodged at Pandeshwar police station.

hahaha.. From the clip it is clear that the letters from the UAE Exchange board were not stolen for resale or profit as only 4 Alphabets were stolen with which you can form " X-Age" or " Age of X" which is the name of a comic book. Yes but definitely pre-planned and i don't think the intention was to destroy property of Fernandes Group either.

Should have a iota of shame on you well dressed man? The other guy tall -skinny looks like hired for the theft and obeying the dictas.
Should catch hold of these and give the maximum punishment possible. Tie them into the Light Post at Hampankatta signal and let people watch this video footage.
