Muscat: Workers of Love Association Organizes Christmas Party

Muscat, Jan 3: It was a great experience of sharing love and happiness of Christmas to the organizers and also to the participants of the various communities of St Peter and  St Paul Church Ruwi.    

'Workers of Love', a program that was organized to share the joy of Christmas with the brothers and sisters of the parish who are lonely, was presented by St Peter and  St Paul Church Council Members with the support from various members and organizations on 21 December 2012 at Main Parish Hall of St Peter and St Paul Church Ruwi was a great success.  

“We had great participation of around 350 members of various communities” said one of the organizers, “ and everyone enjoyed the program. It was a true sense of sharing our Christmas happiness with our brothers and sisters. It was exuberant feelings for us, the organizing committee of St Peter and St Paul Church, to observe such a great sentiments of happiness on the faces of every participants.”

The participants of Workers of Love program were welcomed with a presentation of twinkling Christmas Cap and then sumptuous breakfast.

Prayers were conducted in various languages in which everyone participated wholeheartedly. Fr Wilson Rumao, Advisor of the Konkani community and Fr Mathew, Assistant parish priests of St Peter and St Paul Church blessed the program and the participants.

The program was beautifully compered by the well-known personalities of the parish Trevor Fernandes and  Alex.

The participants were formed into groups titled --- Bells, Stars, Candys, Santas, Reindeers and Cookies and each group sent their Christmas wishes in song. It was a delight to see such enthusiastic participation and such good voices.

The Parish Children Shining Stars, Kids for Christ  and The youth dancers Joshua and group and little Cheryl really thrilled the audience There was loud applause after each presentation and to top it all there were Christmas carols by Parish children and Santa clause.

A great meal followed and each and every one left filled with the Christmas spirit and fully enthused.

The whole program, under the leadership of Fr Raul Ramos – Parish Priest of St Peter and St Paul Church – Ruwi, was planned, formulated and lead by the eminent parish council members of St Peter and St Paul Church – Ruwi namely; Glen Gonsalves – Vice President, Eugene Das,  Suresh Jayawardene, Joseph Das and Monica Dantis.
