Delhi Police to File 1,000 Page Chargesheet on Gang Rape

New Delhi, Dec 31 (PTI): Two days after the death of the 23-year-old girl, who was brutalised and gang-raped on a moving bus in the national capital, the Delhi Police today said it has finalised around 1,000-page charge sheet in connection with the incident and plans to submit it in court on Thursday.

A senior police official said the charge sheet, which is being vetted by legal experts, has cited 30 witnesses in connection with the December 16 incident in which the medical student was gang raped by six men. Amanat died in a Singapore hospital on Saturday morning.

Investigators said they will seek death penalty for the accused in the case.

Six persons, including a 17-year-old boy, was apprehended in connection with the incident, which evoked widespread outrage and anger and triggered violent protests at India Gate and Raisina Hill.

The charge sheet, to be filed in the Saket court, will detail the role of five men while mentioning that a separate report would be sent to Juvenile Justice Board for the trial of the minor boy allegedly involved in the case, the official said.

The charge sheet gives details about the sequence of events, the treatment, shifting of the patient to a Singapore hospital as well as her death, the official said.

Police have slapped rape, murder and other charges against the accused.

I think these police are from RSS\BJP who are only good for making lengthy statements\reports hence the 1000 page - and one BJP person knows BJP can make it to 10000 pages out of the same report.
They are always involved in all these corrupt activities and catch an innocent person and charge that person with rape\murder or whatever.
Government, first of all, take action against the Police, who are the backbone of all these troubles.
These police are only servants of politicians mostly BJP hence no cases booked against the kith and kins and friends of these politicians who carry out various crimes in all states (for example presently in Karnataka)
Are they trying to impress the public with the number of pages or the authenticity of their investigation report

Report preparing and strong punishment of 4-5 years, 100 rupees fine, all these are nothing but stupidities the headless govt. is doing. Poor girl lost her life to a group of un civilised criminals. Govt should think how to bring change in attitude of the new generation youth, change in boys perception towards a women/girl, educate the new generation youth how to respect a girl/women. Education of values of life to the youth is need of the hour. No politician or our so called leaders are intrested to curb this problem in the society. Hanging is not the only solution for this problem in our contry. We should think beyond this.

IF OUR LAW AND GOVT IS STRICT THEN RAPIST COULD HAVE BEEN HANGED ON PUBLIC SPOT.

NOW WHOLE WORLD TREATING INDIA AS CORRUPTION AND RAPIST COUNTRY.

INDIA WAS SAFER DURING ATALJI'S TIME. NOW INDIANS ARE CONFUSED WHICH COUNTRY WE ARE IN LIVING?

I THINK AFTER 2014 ELECTION ONLY DELHI AND WHOLE INDIA WILL BECOME SAFE AND STRONG.

When the font size is increased it can be of 10000 pages also.

What we need is HANGING THE CULPRITS at the earliest, not the number of pages.

Number of pages doesn't matter so much as the matter of giving justice.
Kindly do all out efforts to Reform the out dated justice delivery system which takes very long time.
Fair trial and conviction should be very quick.
In this computer aided age, courts reforms should not be a big problem when revenue departments and Railways could be computerized!
