Survey Says Congress will be Back to Power in Karnataka

Daijiworld Media Network - Bangalore

Bangalore, Dec 13: Congress will be back to power in the state with a clear majority of 115 seats in the coming assembly elections, a survey conducted by C fore (Centre for Forecasting & Research) has revealed.

As per the survey, the ruling BJP will take second place with 58 seats, JD(S) will improve its tally from last elections to 31 seats and Yeddyurappa's KJP will be pushed to a corner with only 14 seats.

The survey conducted by C fore has considered 158 towns and 658 rural places with opinions from 10,279 voters around the state. The survey includes men and women from all castes, religions and age groups.

More number of youth and women have favoured Congress in the survey. Congress is expected to bag 36% of the total votes. Out 224 sitting MLAs, only 85 MLAs are expected to be re-elected this time, while the rest would be rejected by the people.

BJP will be a major loser losing about 60 sitting MLAs.

While 54% of the Lingayat community voters favoured B S Yeddyurappa, only 25% were in favour of BJP. Minorities Muslim and Christians are expected to back Congress strongly this time, along with backward castes. But Vokkaliga voters have shown support to JD(S).

'BJP most corrupt party'

The C fore survey revealed that BJP is the most corrupt party in the state with 40% of the voters saying so! Congress is not far behind at 31& and JD(S) at 7%, which may be of some consolation to H D Kumaraswamy!.

Siddaramaiah most favoured as CM

As many as 19% of the voters want Siddaramaiah as the next chief minister, followed by B S Yeddyurappa (15%) and Mallikarjuna Kharge (12%). Other candidates for the CM post in the survey were S M Krishna at 7%, Sadananda Gowda at 6%, C M Ibrahim at 5%, Jagadish Shettar at 4%, Ananh Kumar at 3%, Dr Parameshwar at 1%.

The complete details of the survey have been published by some leading Kannada dailies in Karnataka

Survey is as good as it's close to real outcome. We as a voter have shown and strengthened our democratic value in the last 65 years. Putting blame of corrupt acts on politicians dont take any responsibility away from us as a citizen nd voters. Living in democracy , my first objective is not to appreciate dynasty rule ( the power of decision with one family). The second is to ensure that I m choosing right representative ( educated, mature nd approachable). Third is the party ( ideology , past performance nd leadership). I wish the people of Karnataka , a good democratic result nd subsequently a good governance.

So the people should think lot of time before voting as Congress has destructed the nation and will destruct Karnataka also. BJP eliminate Yeddurappa on the charges of scams and did not compromise on any cost. Modi ji coming to Karnataka and will start doing 8 rallies from 22 April.

Since the exit of Yeddy, corruption factor attributed to BJP has reduced to a great extent. Congress Scams at center certainly shall effect Congress to a large extent in assembly polls. And if Mr Modi campaigns for Vigorously it can salvage its lost ground due to infighting( mainly because of lack of will throw Yeddy out at least a year earlier) and can certainly make BJP as a single largest party, if not a simple majority. Modi factor shall certainly work in educated state like Karnataka.

The result of this survey will polarize upper cast vote towrads particular party rather showcasing congress strength and getting majority.
I'm pretty sure most of them commented here will have burn in there *** after election result announced
if you go by the histroy whenever elections are fought with projection of CM candiadte from major cast are got the majority so far ( RK Hegde,V Patil,HDD, SMK, Yeddy, ) etc . this time also history will repeat.

Who ever comes to power should come with full majority rather then 2 or 3 parties joing and making groups and fighting for positions. BJP has done nothing except infighting for the last 5 years, and packing the profits in the name of land grabs. Congress was not in power in karnataka to make any scandals, but centre unstability might back fire on them. Dont invite AIDS to yourself and even to your enemy...if you want to have look at these diesease, you may visit to any one of the social service centres around your place and you may feel its effect...
On the side of results of any surveys, lets keep it as news and for some indication, after all you yourself seen for the last few years the way BJP functioning in the State, and despite of which if BJP comes to power again, let God alone to save us!!As a whole as of now at Rs. 25,000 crores were looted by BJP CM/Minisers/MLA and by BJP high commands...you are aware of this...let us be frant atleast on this!! If the voting pattern is to be depended on the religion and castes than Karnataka has many Hindu-castes and they are:
The linagAyata, (vIrashaiva) vokkaliga, Kuruba, nAyaka, golla, vaishya, Kshatriya, dEvAnga, brAhmaNa, IDiga (Billava) mogavIra, (besta) bEDa, lambANi, akkasAliga, ambiga, besta, agasa, pinjAra, uppAra etc.
In Karnataka the castes constitute a more deep rooted category in Hinduism rather than the Varna system which speaks only of Brahmana, Kshatriya, Vaishya and Shudra as also a fifth category called panchama which includes a horde of scheduled castes and tribes. The first three varnas had lots of power and wealth even though they constituted statistical minorities.
There are two Muslim sects namely Safi & Hanafi,
Two Christian sects: Roman Catholics & Protestants,
In details, out of 7.02 Crore total population of Karnataka,
    60.7% is Hindu,
    16.30% is SC,
    12.2% are Muslim,
    6.9% is ST,
    1.9% is Christian,
    0.78% is Jains,
    0.73% is Buddhist,
    0.03% is Sikh.
The 2004 general elections defied the predictions made by pre-poll predictions and exit polls and allowed the newly formed UPA alliance led by Sonia Gandhi, to come to power. Hence I request of people of Karnataka to please ignore the survey and vote for a non-corrupt vibrant leader who can bring development in your region.

With regard to corruption all parties are sailing in the same booat. Few of them are loyal and sincere as they have got some ethis. Whereas most of them are corrupt and criminals and what not. Though BJP has come to power for the first time their administration seems to be very miserable. During this 5 years tenure though they have done some developmental worrk their administration is very hopeless. Moral policing, church attacks, communal problems increased. In daily news papers and through other medius we heart lot of things. So everyone wants a change now. Let Congress come to power in Karnataka. We heartily welcome them.

What is really important is not getting majority - but what to do after getting the majority :). Struggle for power and pulling the carpet from each other's feet is one of the favourite games of Karnataka Politics. Nevertheless, Congress is not getting the clear majority because they have any visionary agenda - instead they will get the majority because BJP messed up big time in the last 5 years. In short, party does not matter but we need politicians with a proper vision and will to implement the vision.

Once the state has more corrupt/Radical minds, it will be like AFGHANISTAN.

There is no young leader in the Karnataka Congress. Nobody will vote for these old corrupt men. Infact the Congress should be happy with 25 seats in the present circumstances.

FUNNY THING OF ITALIAN LED CONGRESS LEADER ON TV SHOW .

SUVARNA CHANNEL : A ITALIAN LED CONGRESS LEADER ANNOUNCE THAT RESULT WILL BE AS PER SURVEY & CONGRESS WILL WIN .

SAMAYA CHANEL: AFTER ONE HOUR SAME ITALIAN LED CONGRESS LEADER WAS ASKED ABOUT GUJARATH SURVEY IN WHICH SHRIMAAN NARENDRA MODII WILL WIN & HE SAID THAT SURVEYS ARE BASELESS & ITALIAN LED CONGRESS WILL WIN.

THIS IS THE REALITY OF UNEDUCATED ITALIAN LED CONGRESS LEADERS.

Congress chances of forming Govt with Full majority depends upon how they feed on the left overs of BJP. As far I analyse, it will be Sajjige Bajil govt in Karnataka with either Congress-KJP-BSR(inside or outside support) or BJP-JDS. I do not see full manjority to congress, BJP for sure NO CHANCE.

The Survey is not absolute truth but surely nearer to truth Congress might gain and BJP might loose due to BSY s splitting votes .Absolute Majority to Congress is not possible .Congress has to take the help of KJP or BSR party to form Govt .But it is Unfortunate if Congress comes to Power in Karnataka .

Ismail Perinje..You yourself counting, Kurbas, OBC,s 45%, 60-90 etc etc, then on the other hand telling that congress is not playing caste based politics!!!. If congress projects Siddhu as CM you think people like Kharge, Dharam Singh, SMK & party, Dkshi, Parmeshwar and other old congi's will sit quite. I have read some unconfirmed reports than even our Oscar maam's name is also going around !!

Should Congress relay on survey, it could loose badly once again. There are dissents and groups under different leaders who could tilt the results as well.If Congress goes to voters unitedly,I think no force in Karnataka match Congress as it represents all communities. On the other hand all stalwarts of all most all major political parties were tasted CM KURSI except Siddu(Dharam.HDK,Yeddy,Shettar and SMK)So naturally Siddu is deserving the coveted post as left out for various reasons in the past. Kurubas and other OBCs more than 45% and therefore,Siddu serious contender for the post.Under any circumstances BJP will not cross 50 seats..
