Puttur: Youth from Nekkilady Dies in Road Accident at Mysore

Puttur, Dec 6: A 20-year-old youth, resident of 102 Nekkilady here was killed in a bike accident at Mysore on Tuesday December 4 night.

The deceased has been identified as Jijesh (20), son of C D Thomas and Umavathi. He was employed at Bhavana enterprise, a flex company in Mysore.

The incident took place at around 8 pm when he was going back to his room near ring road in Bogadi after work. An unidentified vehicle rammed into Jijesh, injuring him critically.

Despite the injuries, Jijesh is said to have called his friends on his cell phone. However, he breathed his last on the way to the hospital.

The body was later taken to K R Hospital for medical examination.

Jijesh was the only son and was supporting the family financially. His sister is married. Sources said that he was earlier working as a welder in Nettana and seven months back he had been to Mysore.

The funeral rites will be held at St Mary's Church in Kermai.

A case has been registered by Santhosh of Bhavana enterprise at N R Puram police station.
