Bhatkal: One Killed, Another Seriously Injured in Accident at Murdeshwar

Bhatkal, Nov 16: One person was killed and another seriously injured when a Honda Activa collided with a Maruti Omni near the main gate of Murdeshewar national highway here on Thursday November 16 night.

The deceased has been identified as Ashfaque Koteshwar, a resident of Gosiya street in Murdeshwar. He had married twice and had three children. He used to sell chicken.

The Omni was moving towards Honnavar and the Activa just entering Murdeshwar. The two vehicles collided head-on, killing Ashfaque on the spot.

The injured Ishwar Somayya Bhat (28) was riding pillion. After initial treatment in RNS hospital, he was shifted to Kundapur. He is a resident of National Colony, Murdeshwer.

Murdeshwer police have registered a case.
