Udupi: Bhoomi Puja for Konkani Kharvi Community Hall to be Held on Nov 18

Udupi, Nov 10: A press meet was called on by the Akhila Karnataka Konkani Kharvi Mahajana Sangha for the occasion of the ‘Bhoomi Puja of the Konkani Kharvi Community Education and Cultural hall and Konkani Kharvi Development convention 2012’ on Friday November 9.

The programme will be held on Sunday 18 November at 11:00 am at Trasi, Kundapura.

The foundation stone laying will be conducted by T V Mohandas Pai, chairman of Manipal Global Education Service, Bangalore; DV Sadananda Gowda, former chief minister Karnataka will inaugurate the programme. The function will be presided over by Kota Srinivas Poojari, minister incharge.

The programme will begin in the presence of Vishweshwara Hegde Kageri (primary and secondary education minister). Aasant Asnotikar, Minister for Fisheries, will inaugurate the fisheries exhibition.

A book will be released on the ‘Scheme for Fishermen’ authored by AG Kodgi, chairman, Karnataka state third economic commission.

The logo will be released by B Y Ragavendra (MP). Felicitations will be presented by Basti Vaman Shenoy (president, Vishwa Konkani Kendra) and Haladi Srinivasa Shetty (former MLA, Kundapura).
