Margao, Oct 29: The faculty of languages and literature, Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts and Science, will be organizing a seminar on ‘Pedagogy in the study of literature and language in the age of multiculturalism’ on Tuesday October 30, from 9.30 am to 5 pm.
This event commemorates the college’s golden jubilee, and is in association with directorate of art and culture, government of Goa.
Dr Anand Patil will deliver the keynote address on ‘Parameters of teaching and learning literature and language in the age of multiculturalism.’ Dr R V Gaonkar, principal of the college will preside over the function.
The resource persons and their respective topics at this seminar are: Dr Anand Patil - Research opportunities in language and literary studies, Dr Kiran Budkuley - Relevance of translation studies in the age of multiculturalism, Sebastian Pinto - Use of latest technology in the study of literature and language in the age of multiculturalism, Mr. Bhushan Bhave - Scope of translation projects in the state of Goa and Bernadette D’Souza - Promoting a multicultural approach to the teaching of language and literature.
There will be a book release event – ‘Writer ani Fighter – Ravindra Kelekar’ at the hands of Maria Aurora Couto. The book contains research papers presented by various resource persons during the national seminar conducted by department of Konkani.
The research papers includes the papers presented by Dr Harishchandra Nagvenkar, Dr Prakash Vazrikar, Dr Vidhya Prabhudessai, Dr Madhavi Sardesai, Dr Lata Shirodkar, Dr Balkrishnaji Kanolkar, Damodar Mauzo, Priyadarshini Tadkodkar, Bhushan Bhave, Melvin Rodrigues, Hanumant Chopdekar, Rakhi Amonkar.
The book is edited by Dr Gunaji Sadanand Desai, Hanumant Chopdekar and is published by Batukak Memorial Trust operating under the brand name BMTGoa.
