Mangalore, Oct 12: The thesis entitled ‘Analysis of Pragmatic Aspects of Communication in Children with Hearing Impairment’, submitted by Rashmi Jaikrishna Bhat, professor and vice- principal, Dr S R C Institute of Speech and Hearing, Bangalore, has been awarded with a Ph D degree in Speech and Hearing subject by the Bangalore University. She had prepared the thesis under the guidance of Dr M N Nagaraja, professor, Dr S R C Institute of Speech and Hearing, Bangalore.
Daughter of Dr P Gopalakrishna Bhat and Venkateshwari Bhat, B C Road, and wife of entrepreneur Jaikrishna Bhat, Bangalore, she is a former student of the Infant Jesus Higher Primary School and Carmel Convent Girls’ High School, Modankap, St Agnes College, Mangalore and All India Institute of Speech and Hearing, Mysore.
