Mangalore: Noted Scholar Kalambadi Muhammed Musliyar No More

Mangalore, Oct 3: Noted scholar, president of Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulema, Pattikkad Jamia Noori’s senior preacher Shaihuna Raeesul Ulema Kalambadi Muhammed Musliyar (78) passed away on Tuesday October 2 at a private hospital in Perinthalmanna, Kerala.

He served Pattikkad Jamia Noori’s Arabic College since 1993. In 1969, he became a member of Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulema Mushavara and was presently serving as it president.

He is survived by his sons advocate Aysab, Umar, Abbas, Umar, Abdul Aziz, Abdussamad Faizi, Abdurahaman, daughters Safiya, Rukiya and Jamila.

Kalambadi Musliyar served in the field of religious educational for a long time and had trained as many as 5,000 students.

The last rites will be held at Malapuram Kalambadi on Wednesday October 3 at 9 am.

The Faizees Dakshina Kannada Zilla Sabha and Hikma classes at Thodar which were scheduled to be held on October 3 have been postponed.
