Udupi, Mar 4: Former MLA U R Sabhapati formally joined JD(S) at a ceremony held at Hotel Kediyoor here on Sunday March 4.

Speaking on the occasion, JD(S) youth leader Madhu Bangarappa said that Sabhapati was the reason for his father Bangarappa establishing himself in politics.

"Sabhapati's entry into JD(S) has definitely strengthened the party," he said, and added that JD(S) is contesting the election to win and not to lose.

"Corruption is rampant in the nation because of Congress, and in the state because of BJP," he pointed out, indicating that JD(S) is the only remaining choice.

JD(S) bypoll candidate Boje Gowda said that the entry of Sabhapati has given the party elephantine strength. "We will show the magnitude of our strength this election," he said.

Giving reasons for joining JD(S), Sabhapati said that Congress is without a true leader, and BJP is immersed in corruption. "JD(S) is definitely a better option than Congress and BJP," he said.

"It is BJP who has forced this election upon the people. For the first time in the country  a situation arose where a chief minister had to give resignation," he said, adding that JD(S) has never been so irresponsible.

Referring to the assault on mediapersons and policemen by lawyers, he said such deterioration in law and order reflects the low level the state government has plunged to.

Among those present were JD(S) leaders Deviprasad Shetty, Mahendra Kumar, Ghulam Ahmed, Govindraju and others.

Mr. Sabhapati was eying on MP seat from congress... when he was unable to get it, did monkey job by jumping again back to JD(S), from where he came to congress. But, this will be a least matter of concern for Congress as Mr. Sabapati (also Manorama Madhwaraj) lost their charisma.

Sabhapathi tried his luck in Congress Party but in vain. But he forgot to digest that even JDS is worse than Congress Party too. Might be he was the aspirant of Udupi-Chikamagalur MP Seat. It is not an easy task to get ticket in Congress or BJP Party unless you have public support or money & muscle power. By leaving Congress Party and joining JDS means he will meet dead end soon. Instead he should have brought NCP to Coastal Area since many Congress Leaders are fed up with their State or Central Leadership

U.R.Sabhapathi in his last election lost his deposit. He calls himself the leader of fishermen community. He has never caught a fish in his life.

Sabhapathi has jumped many parties like Bangarappa. He has been a failure in politics.Infact the JD(S) will lose more votes by inviting him as he is unpopular and disliked. He plays double games like the JD(S).A good match to watch.

The Congress will lose votes too because Oscar invites Blossom on to the dias or she forces herself onto the dias.Blossom is not a political figure and she should be put in her place (below the dias). But Oscar will be without food if he ventures to that.

This guy is another Manaoram Madhwaraj, when the bank balance is low they will join a party in a
function organised with a bag full of notes to be given, he does not have any credibility in udupi, people know what kind of person he is is so it makes no differnece, and JDS in udupi is just a time pass some people are getting some money other than Deviprasad shetty, others are useless, Mr. Deviprasd should quit JDS and join either BJP or congress to do some developement for the district rather then waste his vast talent that he has

JDS has no future as long as father and son duo are leading the party...JDS is the personal property of Gowdas and Sabapathi is a loser in all sense...
