Mangalore, Mar 2:
"Be it BJP or Congress, Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) will play a decisive role in the formation of the state government," asserted E Abubakkar, national president of SDPI, at the district-level People's Political Conference of SDPI held at Nehru Maidan on Friday March 2.

Abubakker, who was the chief guest, said that ironically, after 64 years of the country's independence, there has been an increase in the number of poor and rich people as well.

"Lack of response by the government in eradicating exploitation of people has given rise to a need for the party. SDPI, after it was commissioned two years ago, has already spread its operations to 22 states," he said.

Coming down heavily on the ‘porn gate’ incident of the former BJP ministers in the state assembly, Abubaker said that they cannot be purified even if they are given bath with 'Gangajal' and instead the sanctity of the Gangajal would be violated. He also said that for the betterment of this nation and the upcoming generation, SDPI is the ray of hope.

In his inaugural address, Abdul Majeed Kodlipete, state president, SDPI, said that though the aim of democracy is to decentralize power to the people, in post independent India, slavery still exists. “The political and social condition in the state of Karnataka is at the crossroads and there is need for a fight back attitude among the people,” he said.

As many as 6,000 people from DK district and other parts took part in the conference.

Abdul Jaleel K, president, SDPI, DK district, presided. Thoul Thiru Maavalavan, MP and state president, Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi, Tamil Nadu, Kodihalli Chandra Shekar, working president, Rajya Raita Sangha, and Hafiz Manzoor Ali Khan, national general secretary, SDPI, were the guests of honour.

Mr. ads Kudla, your views are very immature and one sided. Whenever Muslims unite and fight for their rights it irks others?. This kind of mindset is dividing society. You never raise your voice to the miseries of the Muslims and other backward classes, but your eyes wink when suppressed communities get united. Brother, come out from the preset perspective, give a breath to all to express their views. Indian citizen not going cry in Egypt or Saudi Arabia!?.

All are corrupt in way or others. Some are corrupt in gathering wealth and others are corrupt in making a way to have a separate state like Kashmir to kill non belivers to make 100% islamic state. Agenda has to develop India as a great nation without too much religious fanatic ways to harm the country. We have seen so much fanatics ways of harrasing Hindus, buddist,m Christians in Kashmir. We are okay with our corrupt politicians but we are not okay with Islamic ways to rule the nation. Sorry people. That is what we see around in Pakistan,Afghan, iran, eGYPT and similar nations.

    KR Prabhu/Kudla.Bengalore,

Your comments here in this forum equally applies to your great Samajotsava in which, people are transported on top of buses, bullock carts, auto rickeshaws and in hand pulled carts. Both have much in similarity in aggressiveness and thinking....Tit for tat....

Thanks to daiji and daya for wonderful coverage.

SDPI one of future hopes for indians. Congress and JDS is a family party they are always thinking muslims, christians and daliths communities are only for "vote bank" in the elections season. We know how indians minorities including dalths are living in india after the independence other side BJP this party always doing divide rule of politics. SDPI is a growing party most of people wondering about the new party. SDPI always thinning in positive way so this party have good future include large numbers of supporters. So go ahead SDPI.

Very good response from the public. But prematured to compete in this election. I will be obliged if the candidate withdrew nomination n support congress candidate Mr. Jayaprakash Hegde instead breaking congress votes. SDPI will divide congress  votes they must try state election before trying MP election.

SDPI is slowly emerging an "CALL ATTENTION"org for the secular political parties of Karnataka and India in general. If backward and minority communities consolidate in the org/such platforms, under the given situation it could play a decisive role in forming state govt or so but yes due to threat of Sanghparivar outfits like BD/VHP/SS mostly Muslims coming under the banner of SDPI gradually. This could help right wing extremist parties and particularly for BJP in the short run. However, in the long run SDPI could be a entity to be recon with for secular political parties.
    to negotiate with.
Present political scenario is not conducive for haves not who are majority in numbers but exploited by upper caste minority communities. If Dalth,Backward community and minority community negotiates social and political justice by organizing outfit like SDPI then I am sure the playing of HAVES might bring an end in all fields in general and politics in particular.
