Udupi: High Definition 'Spandana' TV Channel Launched

Udupi, Feb 25: 'Spandana', a Kannada TV channel in high definition, was launched here on Friday February 24.

Swami Laxmivarateerta inaugurated the channel on Friday evening.

Speaking on the occasion, Swami Laxmivarateerta said that its an addition to the visual media in the city and hoped Spandana would live up to the expectations of the people and achieve state and national status.

MLA Raghupati Bhat, ZP president Katpady Shankar Poojary, DK and Udupi Fisheries Marketing Federation president Yashpal Suvarna, V4 Media directors Harish Karkera, Srinivas Kini, and Stephen Mendis, Spandana Media directors Gururaj M Amin, Kiran Kumar, Vilas Nayak, Suraj Anchan, and Suresh Kokkada were present on the occasion.

    This new TV Channel, should not only have the interest of Udupi, but also the villages of Kundapura and karkala Taluks, highlighting their needs and difficulties. It should also focus on improving the higher education facilities in the region so that the poor rural people and girls should have easy access for post-graduate education. Best Wishes to SPANDANA!
