Puttur: LPG Cylinder Blast Injures Five

Puttur, Feb 24: Five persons were injured in an LPG cylinder blast at Nekkitadka in Nekkiladi village near Kadaba on Thursday February 23. The blast occurred at the house of Jagannath Rai alias Raja.

The blast reportedly occurred because of leakage in gas pipeline. The injured have been identified as Jagannath Rai, his wife, Mohini, Lalaksha Shetty, mechanic Padma, and Anjan Prasad. While Lolaksha Shetty allegedly suffered serious injuries, the injuries of others are not so grave, it is learnt.

Mechanic Padma and Lolaksha Shetty are neighbours of Rai. At the time of the blast, they happened to be in the house of Jagannath Rai, it is reported.

A case in this connection was registered in Kadaba police station.
