Mangalore, Feb 11: A J institute of Management, a constituent unit of Laxmi Memorial Education Trust organized a general quiz and collage competition titled 'Anveshana' for the undergraduate students at the AJIM conference hall.

Prof Chowdari Prasad Dean (planning and development, chairman - branding and promoton commitee, T A Pai Management Institute, Manipal was the chief guest of the function.

Ashritha P Shetty, director, LMET presided over the function. Dr T Jayaprakash Rao, director, A J Institute of Management introduced and welcomed the guests. Prof Chowdari Prasad inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp and in his inaugural address he stressed upon the importance of higher education in the competitive world. He also highlighted that quiz competitions will sharpen the intellectual capacities among the under graduate students.

Chief co-ordinator of the programme, Prof K Deepak Rao, faculty, A J Institute of Management gave a brief insight of the quiz and collage competition. Anuragh Suvarna proposed the vote of thanks at the inaugural function.

Prof Malini N Hebbar, HOD, Department of English of St Agnes College was the chief guest at the valedictory function. Ashritha P Shetty presided over the function. Dr T Jayaprakash Rao, director of A J Institute of Management introduced and welcomed the guest.

Chief co-ordinator of the programme, Meenakshi Rao, faculty of A J Institute of Management gave an overview of the programme.

The winners of Anveshana - general quiz competition were Pooja Shetty and Sachin Nayak of Besant Evening College of Mangalore and runners up were Harshavardana and Meera of SDM Law College, Mangalore. The winners of Aniveshana - Collage Competition were Geeva and Keerthana of SRSMN Government First Grade College, BArkur and runners up were Thanushree and Monica of Upendra Pai Memorial College, Udupi.

Martin Pinto proposed the vote of thanks. Thomson Thomas, Vinita Menezes compered the programme.
