Deve Gowda Stages Dharna in Front of CM's House, JD(S) Leaders Arrested

Daijiworld Media Network – Bangalore (SP)

Bangalore, Jun 27: Lending teeth to the multi-pronged attack hoisted by the JD(S) to unseat the State Chief Minister (CM), B S Yeddyurappa, former Prime Minister, H D Deve Gowda, began his dharna in front of the CM’s residence on Monday June 27 morning, as announced earlier. Gowda has been accusing the CM of deliberately neglecting the progress and welfare of Hassan district.

Prohibitory orders have been clamped around the CM’s residence at Race Course Road here, and a posse of security personnel are standing guard. Gowda’s vehicle was intercepted a little before it reached the CM’s residence. A number of JD(S) leaders and legislators including H D Revanna, Javare Gowda, and A T Ramaswamy, were taken into custody and taken to Ashoknagar police station for violating prohibitory orders.

Unmoved by the deterrents, Deve Gowda and his supporters like MLAs, Prakash, Shivalinge Gowda, P G R Scindhia, Ramanagar MLA, Raju, and others continued with their protest. After reaching the CM’s residence, they began their indefinite dharna on the footpath adjoining the parking lot of CM’s residence. Deve Gowda asserted that the dharna will continue till CM returns and gives categorical assurance about meeting his demands.

Copies of a booklet listing out various instances of injustice purported to have been meted out to Hassan district by the CM, and justifying the protest programme undertaken by Deve Gowda, was distributed. The former PM insisted that his protest was within the ambit of law, and that he had not violated the prohibitory orders.

KR Prabhu Mangalore, I purposely mentioned article 356 because this article only threatening value. It should be in 356 (A) for advisory and base for 356.

BJP govt of Karnataka in every interval going for a coma and therefore need operation or invoking article 356 to bring down a logical end for all these chaos now and then.

However article 356 lost it's value after BOMMAYEE V/S Union Govt of India over invoking the article 356.What happened HRB invoked 356 for couple of times? But it could be alert notice to sleeping CM and that's it.

Kettle calling the Pot black. The man with an innocent face and ugly past can do anything but he will not get larger support. This crook must join other of his kind e.g.Karunanidhi, Kapil Sibal, Digvijay Singh, and join Sonia Gandhi's party. He has not done anything worth for Karnataka or the nation. Let him first disclose the land and other property, movable and immovable including petrol bunks, he & his family own and wealth they have amassed before talking against other sinners. He and Yeddi both are useless, shameles, and selfish people. It is unfortunate that dear Karnataka has been painted black today because of these stinking rich politicians.

Being Ex-PM this "Honest Man" should go to Delhi and protest against the willful corruption of the Centre Government. He should ask as to why the centre Government is not replying to bringing the Indian money stacked outside...Why don't they say a single word on it and are ready to bash people who ask these questions from the government. State government corruption is definitely bad butnotihngg in comparison to what is happening under the leadership of our "honest" PM. Give DevGawda's son the chair and He'll never sit on fast... Wonder when the voters will actually understand these stupid games.
