Mangalore, Apr 2:
Mangalore Lok Sabha Constituency Congress candidate B Janardhana Poojary filed his nomination papers for the forthcoming election at the deputy commissioner’s (DC) office on Thursday April 2.
Poojary was accompanied by party workers. Earlier, a procession was carried out from Lighthouse hill to the district Congress office and Poojary also offered worship at Kudroli Temple in the morning.
Addressing party workers at an activists’ meet held at Town Hall following the procession, he said that to him the party workers were the high Command. “I have got a ticket to contest in the election because of their support,” said Poojary.

“The number of unemployed youth in the world is increasing everyday due to recession. So far India is safe from the clutches of the global slump because of eminent economist Manmohan Singh. We should elect him again as the Prime Minister to ensure that the Indian economy stays safe from the global slowdown,” Poojary claimed.

He also said that peace would be the weapon of the Indian National Congress in the forthcoming election.
MLAs Ramanath Rai, Abhayachandra Jain, Vasanth Bangera, U T Khader, as well as leaders Rakesh Malli, and M N Adyanthaya were present on the occasion.

Meanwhile BSP candidate Girish Rai too submitted his nomination papers minutes before Poojary filed his nomination.

Mr. Janardhana Poojary's nomination has already sent shock waves in BJP camp. He has won the hearts of the people even before getting elected. That is why the frustration with the detractors of Mr. Poojary in this column. He is the man who can bring unity with all religions in Mangalore. Being Billawa, he is the true follower of Narayan Guru... "One Religion, one caste and one God".

Seeing All Caste,Creed, Community in this March to file Nomination is a Good Sign. J. Poojary's past history cannot be easily forgotten. Since Congress was always getting Majority in Lok Sabha Election their Arrogant Rule has led to Coalition Rule since 15 to 20 years. The Very same Arrogance has come to BJP in Karnataka State which the voters are facing and are regretting. Coalition Rule is a Good Sign and better for a Country like India as Money and Goond Power works. However J.Poojary must have changed over the years to come on account of his loss in earlier elections. Even the Future has changed a lot and the voters have become smarter. All the Best to Congress Party which alone can fight terrorism. BJP cannot fight terrorism as they work on Communal Lines and a communal party will divide the country.

Dont think you will win nust becos the roads are being laid.... let it rain once and ur partys true face will be revealed...kalape kamagari...see what happened to shiradi ghats! All minorities are united this time and will vote for a secular party (congress is better of the lot) and not BJP.

The picture of the proxy PM is larger than the real and projected PM who may not be canvassing as he could not win his own LS seat. Mr. Poojary seems to have woken up from deep sleep along with all other political leaders and police when some people decided to police others. True leaders are supposed to operate as effective opposition to keep the government in check and not wake up only at the time of elections. Same with Mr. Moily and Mr. Oscar Fernandes who were in good positions in their good days, but did not undertake any single development activity for the benefit of this region. Is it too much to ask for some fresh faces who might fare better than these failed veterans ?

Mr. Poojary has been seen as the savior of disturbed D.K., by sober and peace loving people. Congress workers have anonymously demanded his candidature from their High Command. This is the first time in DCC history there was no division. This election will be do or die situation for Congress as well as for Peace loving people of D.K. There was a unique feature was found by me in this group of supporters. There were many old timers presumed by me as Poojary fans or admirers or followers. This is a very good sign Mr. Janardan Poojary, Sir, My heart says that you will win this battle and you will become our M.P.

It looks all the community leaders, people have joined together this time to support Mr. Poojary to show their strength against communal riots. Every citizen of India wants to live in peace and does'nt want communal crises. Every youth wants employed, every elders wants their happiness during their retired age. Who wants communal crises ?. I think SRS/BJ/RSS they wants only crises and they are not interested in developing our nation. They wants only control our country in their hands and all the poor people should follow them. Today Mangalore corporation (BJP ruling) is demolised poor people home at Shaktinagar. If they rule our country than they will grab all poor peoples land. Dear voters this is the time to think and vote. I wish all the broad minded people will choose their right candidates.I am sure that people wants peace in our region and not communal. This my comments will understand the people and spread your peace with millions of people in India. Choose your peace loving candidates. Jai Hind Jai Bharath Maa. Vande Matharam.

With the notoriety of the Pub incidents & the other incidents that followed had made Mangalore one of the most communally sensitive districts of India. This had attracted many dangerous underworld members, many of whom were caught by our police force. By any means we want peace in this region. I feel that Congress can curb the ongoing unrest in this region.

We can see the unhappiness in DCC president’s (Sri B Ramanath Rai) face. This time also BJP will win Mangalore constituency. Where is Mr. Moily & Mr. Sorake, they are missing from the sceen, may be busy in interaction with BJP leaders. Congress is lacking in effective leadership as well committed party workers. Only hope is Mr. Vasanth Bangera, how much lead he brings from Belthangadi. All the best to BJP
