Dear Friends,
May is a great month for Mothers - our heavenly Mother Mary as we devote the month of May to her devotion and to every earthly mother as we celebrate “Mother’s Day”
We all know that without our Mother, we would not exist today in this world and this is not the only reason for us to be grateful. In a short verse given below it expresses the role of a mother and we will realize the worth and value of a Mother. Let us remember not only our Mother on Mother’s Day , but every Mother who has borne the pains and pangs of motherhood, who has been a pillar of support and strength to her family and has always sacrificed to give her family the best. So often we hear people say ”I am today what I am, on account of my mother. inspite of not being educated herself, she has made sure that I studied well and today I have reached my position only with her prayers and her perseverance.” this is a greatest tribute we all can pay to our Mother on Mother’s Day.
M-O-T-H-E-R
"M" is for the million things she gave me, "O" means only that she's growing old, "T" is for the tears she shed to save me, "H" is for her heart of purest gold; "E" is for her eyes, with love-light shining, "R" means right, and right she'll always be,
Put them all together, they spell "MOTHER,"
A word that means the world to me.

We bring to you Ms. Monica Pereira of Mangalore -a mother and a grandmother but more than that, she is a God Mother to the “Only and Lonely” the young unmarried boys and girls searching for life partners. She runs her own match making bureau - “WEDLOCKER” and has been instrumental in bringing together young boys and girls in marriage. A truly wonderful service to our current day youth, who are so keen on finding the right life partner. Monica daughter of Francis and Veronica D’Souza was born and bred in Mumbai and studied at the reputed St. Xavier’s school and college. After her graduation she taught at the St. John’s High school in Mumbai and after being wed to Mr. Alias Pereira (please click here for details) she moved to Karkala. Being an active and lively person, Monica wanted to continue teaching and had the privilege of being the founder Headmistress of Jaycees English Medium School, Karkala where she taught for 14 years.
Simultaneously she pursued her post graduation in M. A. from the Mysore University and then moved to Bangalore.
Monica is a person of varied talents. Being a live wire and of a sociable nature – she has kept her self busy with various honorary and social activities. It is unbelievable that she has 4 grown up children (3 daughters who are well settled and 1 son who has just returned from UK after doing his MS and is currently in Dubai) She is also a grandmother much loved by her grandchildren who think the world of her. . She believes in using every minute of her time in a fruitful manner. “Life is short and let us make the most of it “ says Monica.. She is the member of “Vishwas” – a great and noble organization which caters to the needs of the elders. She teaches English at the geriatric course conducted by this Organisation.
After the retirement of her husband, she has now settled in Mangalore, in a very cosy and delightful apartment in the heart of City. Her doors are always open to anyone in need especially the young boys and girls looking for life partners. It is a great service which she renders at a very nominal charge to cover the expenses of phone calls, but in really deserving cases, she does it absolutely free.
