Dear Friends,

We come to the end of another calender year, but not before we celebrate the holy season of CHRISTMAS  the birthday of our dear Lord.

Christmas is the season of Peace, the season of Joy the season of Goodwill.  What does Christmas mean to you? Let us think for a moment and wonder if it is only the ringing of bells or putting up of a crib?? Is it only new clothes and lots of sweets or does it also mean something else.  Christmas is beyond all that God wants us to be Messengers of Peace and Goodwill.  There is so much sadness and sorrow in the world.  The recent killing of an old lady and her innocent grandson in Bombay by three young   Catholic boys shows the restless state they are in. They do not have peace in their hearts and crave for material wealth. Let us pray for our youth very specially and reach out to them to bring them to realize that Peace of Mind and Heart is the most important in today's world.

In our issue of Women Vision we are happy to bring to you a Messenger of Peace.  Ms. Corrine Rasquinha has surrendered her life to the Will of God.  Inspite of being a family person with her own responsibilities, she realizes that is was God who came into her meaningless life and blessed her with the gift of a miracle child when all the doctors had given up hopes.  Corrine cannot be more thankful to God and is now involved in a project called WHITE DOVES which definitely needs no introduction especially to the people of Mangalore.

It was 11 years ago, after all medical treatment when Corrine was told she could'nt have children as she had already lost one ovary because of a tumour and both the fallopian tubes were damaged. Being keen on having a child Corrine even tried for artificial insemination three times but it failed, then she resorted to IVF (In-vitro Fertilisation) that too failed. It was at this time that she attended a retreat in Potta in 1991 and though the retreat then was in Malayalam she could feel the power of God.

She was touched when before the Blessed Sacrament  she heard the Lords Word 'What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul' After making a good confession and determined to lead a life serving the Lord by serving the lonely and poor, came back to Mangalore and made another trip with her husband to Potta.

Having surrendered myself in the hands of Jesus she started serving in a small way in visiting the Government Hospital and Old Age Home. Jesus blessed her barreness and she had conceived and delivered a Baby Girl to the utter surprise of the doctors. From then having seen the power of God there was no turning back, no turning back.

HOW SHE STARTED THE WHITE DOVES;

When on a casual visit to Govt Wenlock hospital in Mangalore, she encountered hunger, poverty, misery and loneliness in the lives of the bedridden and abandoned patients. Determined to make a difference is when the "white Doves" were born...Born to care and born to share. Getting in touch with a few like minded people who pooled in their resources and strived hard to provide medical aid and essentials, sponsored operations and donated blood. Since the means always overtakes the need she started a choir bringing together young professional talent to sing praises of the Lord and started singing for weddings and funerals and the fee raised was used for our work. They also started sending out appeals to friends to lend a helping hand through their contributions during Christmas , Christmas being the time for Sharing and our motto being Caring for those who have no one.

THEIR SERVICES INCLUDE;

1.Supplying medical aid to those wh

Once again I renew my appeal to all our Mangalorean bretheren to kindly help White Doves sponsored poor homes at 2 different places at Urwa, Mangalore. I wish and pray for success in their missionary work. As we pray and sing, whatsover we do in the least to our brethern it would be done to God only. God will return to us in hundred fold in our business and family in return. We will be blessed abundantly, Cheers Corrine, and Praise Lord for the charitable missionary work which you are doing selflessly. May God give you help from people whoever can easilly help for your good cause. You are devoting your time, rest, even money for their medical needs. I pray to God to give you His blessing and for your entire family to carry on the job which you are doing which is admirable and praiseworthy. Hellalujah

I had not heard of Corrine before, until I heard her on the Radio during the Gospel programme "Good Morning Lord", singing the hymn "He will carry you". The way she sang the hymn touched me deeply. I would appreciate very much if someone could forward me her contact Id, as I very much wanted to get a copy of that particular song. Thanks

Corrine, best among the best in the present modern world, She as a compassionate heart, can understand poor peoples agony and suffering, She does more than what she can, out of the way many times, spends most of her time for the poor, helpless, old and young, poor students, Senior Citizens, blind and the deaf, or lame and bed ridden.

Definitely God works in her work in a very tremendous way, I am very much impressed, and help her whenever and however I can but I do not want publicity, God has healed me and helped for my concern towards Corrine work and her mission, May God bless her, and may many more tries to give her a Great helping hand  in her real praiseworthy work, cheers Corrine,
