A Tribute of Love on the First Death Anniversary

Robert Cyril D'Souza

We thought of you with love today
but that is nothing new.
We thought of you yesterday
and days before that too.

We think of you in silence
as we often speak your name.
All we have are memories
and your picture in a frame.

Your memory is our keepsake
with which we'll never part.
God has you in His keeping
we have you in our hearts.

Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord,
And let perpetual light shine upon him,
May his soul rest, in peace, Amen!

10th Death Anniversary

George Andrade

Kuwait

19/12/2015

God looked around his Garden and found an empty place.
He then looked down upon his earth and saw your loving face.
He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.
His Garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering; He knew you were in pain.
And knew that you would never get well on earth again.
He saw your path was difficult, He closed your tired eyes.
He whispered to you "Peace be Thine" and gave you wings to fly.
When we saw you sleeping so calm and free of pain.
We would not wish you back to earth to suffer once again.
You've left us precious memories, your love will be our guide.
You live on through your wife and children, you're always by our side.
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you on the day God called you home.

Tribute of Love

25th Death Anniversary

Augustine Anthony D'Cunha

25 Years ago came the call
Dear Dad suddenly you left us all
For those we love don't go away
They walk beside us everyday

This day is  remembered and quietly kept
No words and we shall never forget
For God alone knew what was best
And called you to his Garden of rest

Our thoughts are ever with you
Though you have passed away
And those who loved you dearly
Are thinking of you today

Everyday in some small way
Memories of you come our way
Though absent, you are always near
Still missed, loved and always dear

Ours is just a simple prayer
God Bless you and keep you in his care
Memories keep the one we loved
Close to us in spirit and thought

A loving tribute from your

Children, Grandchildren,
Great Grandchildren and family members

A Tribute of Love…..

Eulogy : Mrs. Eliza D’Sa

1 Cor. 15:54-58
When the mortal has been changed into the immortal, then the scripture will come true: “Death is destroyed; victory is complete!” “Where, Death is your victory? Where, Death is your power to hurt?” Death gets its power to hurt from sin, and sin gets its power from the Law.  But thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ! So then, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm and steady. Keep busy always in your work for the Lord, since you know that nothing you do in the Lord's service is ever useless.

Our beloved Mumma, was born on 5th November 1951 to late Gilbert and Juliana Fernandes at Pedmale, Neermarga, and had a wholesome upbringing in a joint family, of parents and grandparents until she was joined in holy matrimony on 12th May 1971 with Alex D’Sa of Kelarai Parish. Together they raised a beautiful family of four children to know the Lord, educated them and steadfastly supported them in whatever field of work they chose to pursue for themselves.

She was an exemplary daughter, wife, mother and most of all much loved grandmother not only to her own, but also to the children of the neighborhood. She brightened and touched the lives of many in her own quiet way, never making it known to another, how she continued being a support system in empathy and service encouraging others to do the same for everyone. She taught the same to her children by not only in words but being a fine example. Her smile was infectious and you could never hold back a smile while looking at her. Her soft nature and calm demeanor won the hearts of many and this evening all of you here are present because you are witness to it.

The D’Sa family moved from Kelarai Parish to Kulshekar Parish in May 2007. Mumma had special devotion to the Holy Cross and Infant Jesus. It was her dream that she be close to the House of God and her dream was fulfilled. She was deeply spiritual and spent much of her time in prayer everyday.

Since 2008, she had been suffering from various illnesses and she battled every storm like a true soldier and was victorious, even surprising doctors with her willpower and zest to live. Her doctors treated her like their own mother with love and care and never made her feel like a patient.

The last few months of her journey on earth were particularly tough on her body. She suffered continuous migraines. God watched her being brave through it all and took her away as she suffered a massive cardiac arrest on 30th November 2015.

Her beloved husband and our much loved Papa (and Aab), was her Rock of Gibraltar each and every day of their lives, not deterring through the eight rigorous years where illness wrecked Mumma. They were each other’s support systems, each others courage and each others fulfillment to God’s plan in our lives.

Our Mumma has left a void in our lives by her untimely demise. Her goodness and love will always be with us as a guiding light, as we carry her legacy forward.

We thank all the Doctors, Nurses, Relatives, Friends, Well-wishers, and Undertakers who have been with us through our grief. A special thanks to the Priests, Brothers, and Sisters who are here today to celebrate the life of our dear Mother.

They, whom we love and lose are no longer where they were before. They are now…wherever we are. Mumma Dearest, may God of all goodness grant you eternal rest and may you enjoy life eternal with the Angels of God. God Bless you all, AMEN.

In Gratitude…

The D’Sa Family is grateful to all Relatives, Friends, Well-wishers, and all those who were a part of us during the untimely demise of our beloved Mumma. The Doctors who treated her worked wonders and never made her feel like patient. As one of the doctors said, “she is a wonderful lady…..even in pain she doesn’t complain.” Such was the patience and sensitivity Mumma. We thank all those who posted messages on daijiworld and in other social networking sites. Your love and support means much to us and keep us in your prayers as we come to terms with the greatest loss of our lives. May God bless you all.

Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her, may her gentle soul rest in peace, AMEN.

Fondly Remembering

John D'Souza

Kelarai

Passed away on : November 30, 2000

Despite life's trials and tribulations,
You held on to your faith steadfastly
In our most challenging times
You always encouraged us and uplifted our spirits
So often you spoke about Job from Bible, about his trails
And ultimately his God given victory
May God grant you the same victorious crown in Heaven
May you always Rest In Peace…
We will never forget you, never stop praying for you

With Love and Gratitude,

Children and Grandchildren
